Concentrically Heated Inlet Tube for Gas Scrubbing Apparatus
A heated inlet tube for use in a wet scrubber is disclosed. In one embodiment, the heated inlet tube comprises a heated tube concentric to the inlet tube to which a heated gas is applied thereby maintaining temperature of a waste gas stream as it flows through the inlet tube. In a further embodiment, an insulating tube concentrically surrounds the heated tube to further maintain the temperature of the waste gas stream.
Using Spent Caustic Solution from Pygas Treatment to Neutralize Halogens from Liquified Waste Plastic
Processes and facilities for producing recycled chemical products from waste plastic are described herein. The processes include treating process streams, such as a pyrolysis gas stream and/or at least a portion of a cracker furnace effluent stream, in a caustic scrubber process to remove certain components, such as carbon dioxide. The spent caustic solution from the caustic scrubber process is then recycled and reused in other caustic processes within the facility, which can include a halogen neutralization process from removing halogens from a liquification process off-gas.

APPARATUS AND METHOD OF TRAPPING AN EXHAUST MATERIAL FROM A SUBSTRATE-PROCESSING PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING A SUBSTRATE INCLUDING THE TRAPPING APPARATUS
An apparatus for trapping an exhaust material from a substrate-processing process includes: a cyclone configured to provide the exhaust material with a swirling flow, wherein the exhaust material is discharged from the substrate-processing process using a reaction gas; an atomization module for providing the cyclone with a mist to convert the exhaust material into a powder through a wet oxidation reaction, and a collector configured to collect the powder.
INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE INCINERATOR AND FLUE GAS TREATMENT APPARATUS
The present invention discloses an industrial solid waste incinerator and flue gas treatment apparatus, comprising a water-cooled feed hopper, a water-cooled grate and a chamber which are connected in sequence. A front arch, a rear arch and side walls which are formed of membrane water-cooled walls, are provided between the water-cooled grate and the chamber, and a dechlorination tower is arranged behind the chamber. Two sets of rear secondary air pipes, which comprise an upper set of rear secondary air pipes and a lower set of rear secondary air pipes, are arranged on the rear arch, and a dry desulfurization device is arranged between the two sets of rear secondary air pipes, so that the reaction medium and the flue gas are sufficiently disturbed and mixed, and stroke is extended.

Method for pretreating and recovering a rare gas from a gas contaminant stream exiting an etch chamber
Novel methods for pretreating a rare-gas-containing stream exiting an etch chamber followed by recovering the rare gas from the pre-treated, rare-gas containing stream are disclosed. More particularly, the invention relates to the pretreatment and recovery of a rare gas, such as xenon or krypton, from a nitrogen-based exhaust stream with specific gaseous impurities generated during an etch process that is performed as part of a semiconductor fabrication process.
CONTROL OF WET SCRUBBER OXIDATION INHIBITOR AND BYPRODUCT RECOVERY
The present disclose is directed to a method for controlling iodine levels in wet scrubbers, and, in particular, recirculating wet scrubbers by removing the iodine from the scrubbing solution, such as by using ion exchange, absorption, adsorption, precipitation, filtration, solvent extraction, ion pair extraction, and an aqueous two-phase extraction.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MAGNESIUM METAL BY DEHYDRATING DIHYDRATE MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE
The present description relates to a process for producing magnesium metal from dihydrate magnesium chloride comprising the steps of dehydrating MgCI.sub.2.2H.sub.2O with anhydrous hydrochloric acid (HCI) to obtain anhydrous magnesium chloride in an inert environment, releasing the mixture of hydrous HCI and protection gas; and electrolyzing the anhydrous magnesium chloride in an electrolytic cell fed with hydrogen gas under free oxygen atmosphere content, wherein magnesium metal and anhydrous hydrogen chloride are produced, wherein a part of the hydrous HCI is passed through a scrubbing unit to obtain a hydrochloric acid solution, the other part of the hydrochloric chloride gas is dehydrated by contact with a desiccant agent in a drying unit to produce anhydrous HCI, and wherein the anhydrous HCI produced by at least one of the electrolytic cell and the drying unit is reused to dehydrate the of MgCI.sub.2.2H.sub.2O.
