Filter apparatus, consisting of at leasta filter (14), which is divided into individual filter segments,a cleaning device (19), which has, associated with each filter segment, a partial cleaning unit (20, 21, 22), which can be moved along the cleaning device and which cooperates with a removal device (23), anda control device (40), which activates at least one partial cleaning unit for cleaning, whereas at least one further partial cleaning unit remains inactive during this cleaning, wherein the control device (40) has a coupling device, which in one position of the coupling device, connects the cleaning device (19) to the discharge device (23) for a common rotary movement and, in another position of the coupling device, separates them from one another.

An apparatus for applying a dilute antimicrobial solution to workpieces, such as raw poultry, includes a housing and a sprayer positioned to direct a first volume of dilute antimicrobial solution onto workpieces conveyed through a passage of the housing. A portion of the first volume that does not adhere to the workpieces is collected at a lower portion of the housing and passed to a recycle tank. Solution is transported between the recycle tank and sprayer and includes a supply segment to receive solution from the recycle tank, an application segment to receive the first volume from the supply segment for passage to the sprayer, and a bypass segment, separate from the application segment, to receive a second volume of the solution from the supply segment for return passage to the recycle tank without passage through the sprayer.

A screen wheel filter device for a high-pressure filtration of a plastic melt. An inlet plate and an outlet plate are formed in a housing. At least one spacing element is arranged between the inlet plate and the outlet plate and a bearing ring on which a screen wheel is arranged between the inlet plate and the outlet place and is rotatably mounted. The screen wheel has a plurality of screen segments positioned between the inlet channel and the outlet channel. The inlet channel and the outlet channel each have a funnel opening expanding toward the screen wheel. At least one pressure relief bore is arranged in the inlet plate or in the outlet plate and opens at a bearing ring, and the pressure relief bore is fluidically connected to a relief opening in an outside of the housing via a pressure relief channel formed in the housing.

A laundry treating machine is provided. The laundry treating machine may include a tub to receive wash water, a drum rotatably provided in the tub, an air supply device to supply air to the tub, a lint filter to filter lint from the air circulated by the air supply device, a filter cleaning device to supply cleaning water to the lint filter to remove the lint from the lint filter, and a cooling water supply device to supply cooling water to an inner surface of the tub such that moisture contained in air is condensed at the inner surface of the tub.

A disc filter includes a filtrate holding tank disposed below a series of disc-shaped filter members supported on a drum. Filtrate from the holding tank is used to backwash filter media on the disc-shaped filter members. Filtrate is discharged from the holding tank via a filtrate conduit. Bypass water is directed through a bypass conduit in the disc filter and mixed with the filtrate downstream of the filtrate holding tank. This assures that the filtrate used to backwash the filter media does not include bypass water.

A dishwasher appliance includes a wash tub, a sump for collecting wash fluid, and a cylindrical filter screen positioned within the sump. A wash pump assembly includes a wash pump impeller and a supply conduit, the wash pump impeller being configured for urging the wash fluid through the cylindrical filter screen and into the supply conduit. A filter cleaning assembly includes a filter cleaning manifold positioned proximate the cylindrical filter screen and in fluid communication with the supply conduit and one or more vertical spray arms extending along the vertical direction adjacent the cylindrical filter screen, the one or more vertical spray arms defining a plurality of outer ports in fluid communication with the filter cleaning manifold, the plurality of outer ports being positioned and oriented for directing the wash fluid at least partially along a circumferential direction about the cylindrical filter screen.

A laundry treating machine is provided. The laundry treating machine may include a tub to receive wash water, a drum rotatably provided in the tub, an air supply device to supply air to the tub, a lint filter to filter lint from the air circulated by the air supply device, a filter cleaning device to supply cleaning water to the lint filter to remove the lint from the lint filter, and a cooling water supply device to supply cooling water to an inner surface of the tub such that moisture contained in air is condensed at the inner surface of the tub.

Filter systems are provided comprising a filter element and a backflush device configured to provide a backflush fluid flow through the filter element. The filter element can comprise one or more elongate supporting portions for supporting a filtration means; and the backflush device can comprise an elongate outlet configured to provide a backflush fluid flow through the filter element such that the backflush fluid flow intersects the filter element along a line that is non-parallel with the one or more elongate supporting portions, wherein the elongate outlet comprises at least two separate outlets. A backflush device for a filter system is also provided.

A wastewater filter cartridge includes a peripheral frame, two filter media sheets, two sets of angled fins, and a filtered water outlet. The two filter media sheets are attached to the peripheral frame in spaced face-to-face relation such that they combine with the peripheral frame to define an interior volume within the filter cartridge. At the same time, the two sets of angled fins are attached to the peripheral frame external to the interior volume and project away from the filter media sheets at oblique angles. As wastewater passes through the two filter media sheets into the interior of the filter cartridge, the two filter media sheets act to reduce the suspended solids in the wastewater. Once in the interior volume of the filter cartridge, the filtered water is collected via the filtered water outlet, which is connected to the interior volume.
