Dynamic adjustment of game controller sensitivity based on audio analysis
11583771 · 2023-02-21 · ·

An electronic device may receive audio during play of a game on a game console over a network. The electronic device may detect one or more sounds during the monitoring of the audio. The electronic device may control, based on the detected one or more sounds, operation of a game controller that interacts with the game during play. The controlling of the operation of the game controller may comprise adjusting sensitivity of the game controller. The electronic device may determine directionality of the detected one or more sounds and adjust the sensitivity of the game controller based on the determined directionality of the detected one or more sounds. The electronic device may increase and/or decrease the sensitivity of the game controller in response to changes in the determined directionality of the detected one or more sounds.

Game apparatus, storage medium storing game program, game system, and game processing method

An example game apparatus selects an operational character that is to be used by a player in a multiplayer game with competition. The game apparatus selects an additional character that is to be added to the operational character from a plurality of candidates for an additional character to be selected. The additional character is associated with an image of the additional character, information of an effect to be given to performance in the game with competition of the operational character to which the additional character is added, and information about a type. The game apparatus generates a selection image including at least an image of the operational character selected by the player and each other user, an image of the additional character selected by the player, and an image of the type of the additional character, for display, during selection of the operational character and the additional character.

Method and system for customizing end user gaming experience

A system for customizing an end user gaming experience is disclosed herein. The system includes a processor. The processor is configured to create a campaign by receiving a campaign creation request from an end user device, the campaign creation request comprising one or more parameters of a campaign associated with the campaign request, creating the campaign based on the one or more parameters associated with the campaign request, and personalizing one or more offers for an end user, each of the one or more offers comprising a game having one or more hurdles, wherein completion of each of the one or more hurdles leads to a reward. The processor is further configured to map a subset of the one or more personalized offers to the end user. The processor is further configured to monitor progress of the campaign.

Integrated Screen with USB and HDMI for Game Console
20220362662 · 2022-11-17 ·

The present invention is a portable gaming and entertainment system (or “environment”) for use with a video game console and related components that allows the user thereof to easily, safely and conveniently transport the system. The system comprises an integrated screen with USB and HDMI capabilities that connect directly to the video game console. The integrated screen contains monitor and speaker, and is operative to be opened and maintained at a position to provide a desirable viewing angle for a user. The integrated screen closes against the video game console so that the user may easily transport and/or store the entire system.

EQUIPMENT DETECTION USING A WEARABLE DEVICE
20220364829 · 2022-11-17 ·

A simulation system may comprise a headset and an equipment. A wireless communication interface of the headset may receive position information from the equipment. The headset may detect a passively-instrumented object represented in a captured image. The headset may detect a wearable device coupled to the passively-instrumented object. The headset may determine position information for the passively-instrumented object. The headset may present an image of virtual equipment corresponding to the equipment in accordance with the position information from the equipment and the position information detected for the passively-instrumented object.

Animation production system

The principal invention for solving the above-described problem is an animation production method that provides a virtual space in which a given object is placed, the method comprising: detecting an operation of a user equipped with a head mounted display; controlling a movement of an object based on the detected operation of the user; shooting the movement of the object; storing an action data relating to the movement of the shot object in a first track; and storing audio from the user in a second track.

Event categorization and key prospect identification from storylines

Aspects of the subject technology include an event processing and prospect identifying platform. It accepts as input a set of storylines (a sequence of entities and their relationships) and processes them as follows: (1) uses different algorithms (LDA, SVM, information gain, rule sets) to identify themes from storylines; (2) identifies top locations and times in storylines and combines with themes to generate events that are meaningful in a specific scenario for categorizing storylines; and (3) extracts top prospects as people and organizations from data elements contained in storylines. The output comprises sets of events in different categories and storylines under them along with top prospects identified. Aspects use in-memory distributed processing that scales to high data volumes and categorizes generated storylines in near real-time.

Mixed reality system for context-aware virtual object rendering

A computer-implemented method in conjunction with mixed reality gear (e.g., a headset) includes imaging a real scene encompassing a user wearing a mixed reality output apparatus. The method includes determining data describing a real context of the real scene, based on the imaging; for example, identifying or classifying objects, lighting, sound or persons in the scene. The method includes selecting a set of content including content enabling rendering of at least one virtual object from a content library, based on the data describing a real context, using various selection algorithms. The method includes rendering the virtual object in the mixed reality session by the mixed reality output apparatus, optionally based on the data describing a real context (“context parameters”). An apparatus is configured to perform the method using hardware, firmware, and/or software.
