A filtration system includes a housing and a filter element positioned within the housing. The housing includes a first housing end and a second housing end. A drain opening is defined in the second housing end. The filter element includes a first endplate and a second endplate defining an endplate opening. Filter media is positioned between and extending axially between the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media defines a central opening extending axially therein. A drain plug axially protrudes from the second endplate in a direction away from the filter media. The drain plug is configured to engage the drain opening and facilitate installation of the filter element into the housing. A lid is configured to engage the first housing end. The engagement between the lid and the first housing end occurs when the drain plug is disposed within the drain opening.

A rechargeable spin-on filter includes a cover, a housing threadably joined with the housing, and a filter element that can be removed and replaced with another filter element relative thereto. The cover and/or housing can be plastic. The cover can include a bottom plate having inlet ports and an outlet port. The filter element can include an end cap defining a perimeter about an inner dimension, such as an inner diameter. The cap can define a groove to receive a rib of a support tube over which the element is installed. Alignment of the rib and groove can index and register the element with the support tube. A related method is provided.

A filter cartridge includes a shell, a connecting ring, an end cap, and an axially directed sealing member. The shell defines an inner cavity and an upper lip disposed along an upper edge of the inner cavity. The upper lip defines a channel. The connecting ring is positioned outside of the inner cavity and is engaged with the channel. The connecting ring includes a threaded region extending along a central axis of the shell. The end cap is engaged with the shell adjacent to the upper lip. The axially directed sealing member is positioned between the shell and the end cap and extends axially outward so as to form an axial seal with a filter head when the filter cartridge is installed on the filter head.

A protruding portion is formed on an inner tube inserted into a hollow portion of a filter medium so as to protrude upward from a flange portion. The flange portion having a substantially circular plate shape is disposed on a lower side of a second plate. A recessed portion into which the protruding portion is inserted is formed on a surface on a lower side of the second plate provided so as to cover an opening at a lower end of the filter medium.

A filter device having a filter housing (14), in which a replaceable filter element (18) is accommodated, and having a filter head (26) for securing the filter housing (14) to a third component, such as a tank wall (10) of a storage tank, is characterized in that the filter housing (14) is mounted on the filter head (26) in an articulated manner by means of a bearing (28) providing more than one degree of freedom.

A spin-on filter cartridge includes a flange with peripheral holes for entrance, and a middle hole for exit. The cartridge includes a container with a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The flange reversibly occludes the opening. The container reversibly connects to the flange by a bayonet. The cartridge includes a filter unit including a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The bases oppose each other, the filter unit opening opposing the flange. The filter unit rotates integrally with the container. A spring between the bases pushes the filter unit towards the flange, the filter unit dividing the space into a first compartment, outside the filter unit, accessible by peripheral holes of the flange, and a second compartment, inside the filter unit, accessible by the middle hole.

A filter cartridge (1) is for a fluid filtration assembly (10). The filtration assembly (10) includes a bowl body (11) and a head body (12) having respectively a first and second collars (111, 121) to engage each other in rototranslation. The bowl body (11) has a filtration chamber (110) accessible through an access mouth (110′) delimited peripherally by the first collar (11) while the head body (12) has in the second collar (121) a slot (125). The filter cartridge (1) is housable in the bowl body (11) having a filter medium (2) and an end plate (3) to engage the first collar (111). The filter cartridge (1) is snap-blockable in the axial direction to the bowl body (11) by an active blocking member (31). The filter cartridge (1) includes an anti-rotation element (32) extending radially from the end plate (3) for being housed in the slot (125).

A filter device is provided with a filter element for filtering a fluid. The filter element has a filter medium body with an end plate arranged at an end face of the filter medium body in relation to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. A filter base housing receives the filter element. An assembly component for assembly and disassembly of the filter element in the filter base housing is connectable to the end plate and to the filter base housing by rotation about the longitudinal axis. The assembly component has interlocking elements. An interlocking counter element is arranged at the end plate. The interlocking elements can be brought into axial interlocking connection with the interlocking counter element, while enabling a free rotatability in rotational direction about the longitudinal axis. The interlocking counter element is a circumferential interlocking collar with insertion ramps for insertion of the interlocking elements.

A filtration system comprises a housing having a first housing end and a second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing includes an alignment tab disposed on the second housing end. The alignment tab protrudes from the second housing end towards the first housing end. A filter element is positioned within the housing. The filter element includes a first endcap, a second endcap, and filter media positioned between and extending axially between the first endcap and the second endcap. The filter media defines a central opening extending axially therein. An alignment notch is disposed on the second endcap, the alignment notch protruding from the second endcap toward the first endcap.

A removable and replaceable end cap that selectively lockingly engages a seat ring of a filter housing. The end cap may include a flange that compresses a gasket member between the end cap and the seat ring to form a fluid tight seal therebetween. The end cap may include cam locking grooves that may each receive insertion of a protrusion of the seat ring, and which are structured for at least rotational displacement about the received protrusion as the end cap is rotated between locked and unlocked positions relative to the seat ring. The end cap may also include an opening that accommodates the passage of a fluid to a filter element. The filter element, which may be coupled to the end cap, may be adapted to remove particulate or contaminate from the received fluid.
