Systems and methods for stormwater management
A fluid management system including an inlet configured to receive pre-processed fluid is provided. The system includes a filtering apparatus configured to remove contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The filtering apparatus includes a plate having a first opening. A first manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations and a second opening at least partially aligned with the first opening. A second manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations. Filter media is disposed between the first manifold pipe and the second manifold pipe and is configured to separate the contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The system also includes an outlet coupled to the second manifold pipe to receive processed fluid from the filtering apparatus.
Fiber Material Composite Having a Region that Neutralizes Reactive Oxygen Species
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a fiber material composite. The composite may include: a first region including metallic silver and manganese(IV) oxide for producing reactive oxygen species; and a second region configured to neutralize the reactive oxygen species.
OIL SLURRY FILTER, OIL SLURRY FILTER UNIT AND OIL SLURRY FILTER SYSTEM CONTAINING THE SAME, AND OIL SLURRY FILTERING PROCESS
The present invention provides an oil slurry filter, a filter unit including the oil slurry filter, a multiple-filter system including the oil slurry filter, and a multiple-stage filter system including the oil slurry filter. Due to the use of the filter component of flexible texture in the oil slurry filter of the present invention, the problems that the filter material is easily blocked by high-viscosity colloidal impurities, the regeneration efficiency of the filter is poor and the filtration efficiency is low are solved, and it is possible to make the backwash treatment of the filter residue more convenient and improve the regeneration efficiency of the filter. The present invention also provides a filtering process using the oil slurry filter to ensure long-term stable operation of the oil slurry filtering process.
GEOMATERIAL WEB WITH BIOLOGICAL DEGRADATION PROPERTIES
A geomaterial web includes a first organic structural material and a second structural material that is different from the first structural material, which is bonded together with the first structural material to form a sheet-like composite material web extending in two mutually perpendicular directions. The first structural material and the second structural material are organic materials, where the first structural material has a first biodegradability and the second structural material has a second biodegradability that is different from the first biodegradability. The second biodegradability may be less than the first biodegradability.
RESPIRATORY MASK
A respiratory protective mask that prevents carbon dioxide rebreathing is disclosed. The respiratory mask includes a filter element that is dimensioned to cover an opening of a wearer's mouth. A cup like element is configured to rest against and retain the filter element against a wearer's chin. A top extent of the filter element extends laterally across a wearer's lip between a wearer's nose and the opening of the wearer's mouth, when worn. An arm of the filter element is defined by a convergence of the top extent and a lower extent of the filter element. The lower extent that converges upwardly from the cup like element towards a lateral end of the filter element subjacent to a wearer's ear, when worn. A retaining element is attached at the lateral end of the filter element and is configured to removably secure the filter element to cover the wearer's mouth.
REUSABLE EXOSKELETON FRAME WITH U-SHAPED LOCKING MEMBERS AND ECO-FRIENDLY AIR FILTER ELEMENT
A replaceable air filter element has a multilayer filter medium panel configured for mounting on a reusable exoskeleton support frame. The exoskeleton support frame is installable on a flow face of the filter medium panel and is provided with U-shaped locking members configured to detachably engage with and mount the filter medium panel. The exoskeleton support frame is configured to be reused such that only the filter medium panel is replaced, thereby reducing the environmental waste and making for a “green” eco-friendly air filter element.
AIR FILTER WITH PATHOGEN MONITORING AND INACTIVATION
An improved technology for inactivation of viruses, for example the SARS-CoV-2 virus that is causing the Covid-19 pandemic, is described. The technology can include a device that includes a substrate coated in a polymer that is infused with a pathogen inactivating material. In various embodiments, at a given time, a portion of the pathogen inactivating material is exposed to the environment, and the device is configured to periodically or intermittently expose additional pathogen inactivating material to the environment. For example, the polymer can be ablative or sacrificial.
ALL-IN-ONE, PORTABLE, TREATMENT OF DEWATERABLE MATERIAL
This disclosure provides apparatuses and methods for a rotatable, cylindrical basket within a housing, wherein the rotatable, cylindrical basket has a longitudinal bore therethrough and an external surface, and, optionally, other surface areas, comprising filtering media. Further, the housing may include an inlet and an outlet, wherein the inlet and the outlet, optionally openable and closeable, and located at least proximate to opposing ends of the rotatable, cylindrical basket. Further still, the apparatus may include a heating unit removably coupled to the rotatable, cylindrical basket, wherein the heating unit is configured to blow hot air onto at least a portion of the filtering media.

Aerosol Reduction Mask
A device and method for manufacturing a specially designed face mask that allows the free and vigorous inhalation of air for singing and speaking is disclosed. A minimalization of the broadcast of aerosolization particles as exhaled air is directed downward toward a variety of filter materials. The mask has at least one layer of material and at least one method of holding the mask in place in front of the nose and mouth of the wearer. The mask is designed to function such that the material is suspended away from the openings of the mouth and nose, including being held in place in front of the nose and mouth openings by one of any number of methods, such as elastic straps around the head, elastic loops around the ears, or other means.
