CO2 AND O2 REMOVER
The present invention relates to the CO.sub.2 and O.sub.2 remover. The CO.sub.2 and O.sub.2 remover comprises 65 to 85 weight percent (wt. %) of a nickel oxide (NiO), 5 to 20 wt. % of a magnesium oxide (MgO), wherein the weight ratio of the nickel oxide and the magnesium oxide (NiO/MgO) is 4 to 11, and wherein the wt. % is based on the weight of the CO.sub.2 and O.sub.2 remover.
NANO-SIZED FUNCTIONAL BINDER
Described are catalytic articles comprising a substrate having a washcoat on the substrate, the washcoat containing a catalytic component having a first average (D50) particle size and a functional binder component having a second average (D50) particle size in the range of about 10 nm to about 1000 nm, wherein the ratio of the first average (D50) particle size to the second average (D50) particle size is greater than about 10:1. The catalytic articles are useful in methods and systems to purify exhaust gas streams from an engine.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE HAVING INTEGRATED GAS SAMPLING SENSOR
An exhaust gas treatment device includes a housing having a wall. The wall of the housing defines an interior chamber. A substrate is supported by the housing within the interior chamber of the housing. The substrate extends along a longitudinal axis. The substrate includes a flow through structure that allows the flow of exhaust gas to flow through the substrate. The substrate includes a catalytic composition disposed thereon for reacting with the flow of exhaust gas. The substrate includes a cavity, extending along a cavity axis, which is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the substrate. A sensor is attached to the housing. The sensor includes a probe that at least partially extends into the cavity of the substrate, for sensing a gaseous component in the flow of exhaust gas. The cavity mixes the flow of exhaust gas and directs the exhaust gas toward the probe of the sensor.
AIR PURIFICATION DEVICE AND AIR CONDITIONING DEVICE
An air purification device including a flow passage through which air circulates; an electrical precipitator unit that is disposed in the flow passage and that includes a discharge electrode having a body unit and a corona discharge unit for corona discharge which protrudes from the body unit, and a collecting electrode disposed opposing the discharge electrode; an ozone removal unit that is disposed in the flow passage, and that is capable of removing ozone included in the circulating air, and a control unit that switches between a first mode in which air from which ozone has been removed is supplied from a downstream section of the flow passage to the outside, and a second mode in which air including ozone is supplied from the downstream section of the flow passage to the outside.
EXHAUST GAS EMISSIONS ABATEMENT SYSTEM
A system for removing methane oxidation catalyst (MOC) poisons from an exhaust gas including a methane abatement unit that may receive the exhaust gas having methane (CH.sub.4)and the MOC poisons. The methane abatement unit includes a guard bed that may remove the MOC poisons from the exhaust gas and may generate an intermediate exhaust gas having the CH.sub.4 and devoid of the MOC poisons. The guard bed includes a MOC poisons capturing component having a first transition metal oxide, an aluminum oxide (Al.sub.2O.sub.3) support material, and a dolomite-derived support material. The methane abatement unit also includes a MOC bed fluidly coupled to and positioned downstream from the guard bed. The MOC bed includes a MOC and may remove CH.sub.4 from the intermediate exhaust gas to generate a treated exhaust gas having less than approximately 200 parts per million volume (ppmv) CH.sub.4.
HYDROCARBON RECLAMATOR
A hydrocarbon reclamator consists of a closed chamber having an exhaust inlet port, a hydrogen inlet port, and a hydrocarbon outlet port. A magnetic flux is generated at the base of the closed chamber and a rotor is suspended by the magnetic flux within the closed chamber. The rotor is formed as a Tesla turbine having axially spaced discs concentrically mounted on a central shaft, a catalyst is formed on surfaces of the discs, and flow holes are formed through the discs. Venturi forces direct gas to release kinetic energy against the discs, so that hydrogen entering the chamber combines with carbon entering the chamber to form a hydrocarbon that exits the chamber via the hydrocarbon outlet port.
Structured catalyst for oxidation for exhaust gas purification, method for producing same, automobile exhaust gas treatment device, catalytic molding, and gas purification method
The structured catalyst for oxidation for exhaust gas purification includes a support having a porous structure constituted by a zeolite-type compound, and at least one type of oxidation catalyst that is present in the support and selected from the group consisting of metal and metal oxide, the support having channels that communicate with each other, and the oxidation catalyst being present in at least the channels of the support.
HONEYCOMB BODY AND PARTICULATE FILTER COMPRISING A HONEYCOMB
A particulate filter having a porous ceramic honeycomb structure with a first end, a second end, and a plurality of walls having wall surfaces defining a plurality of inner channels. Filtration material deposits are disposed on one or more of the wall surfaces of the honeycomb body. The highly porous deposits provide durable high clean filtration efficiency with small impact on pressure drop through the filter.
A CATALYST ARTICLE FOR CAPTURING PARTICULATE MATTER
The present invention relates to a catalyst washcoat composition comprising a slurry comprising at least one platinum group metal and/or at least one non-platinum group metal supported on at least one support; and at least one pore forming agent having a particle size ranging from 100 nm to 5.0 μm, wherein the pore forming agent is selected from carbon nano-tubes, carbon nano-fibres, activated carbon, resins, cellulose powder, and polymer spheres. The present invention also provides a catalyst article for capturing particulate matter of size ranging from 1.0 nm to 100 μm, said article comprising the catalyst washcoat deposited on a substrate and calcined to form pores of which 50%-100% have a pore size ranging from 100 nm to 5.0 μm.
