The present invention relates to a catalyst comprising a carrier body having a length L extending between a first end face and a second end face, and differently composed material zones A, B and C arranged on the carrier body, wherein material zone A comprises rhodium and/or nickel and/or cerium; material zone B comprises platinum; and material zone C comprises a zeolite which is able to store ammonia and to catalyze the selective catalytic reduction of NOx.

An oxidation catalyst is described for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine, which oxidation catalyst comprises: a substrate; a first washcoat region disposed on the substrate, wherein the first washcoat region comprises a first platinum group metal (PGM) and a first support material; a second washcoat region adjacent to the first washcoat region, wherein the second washcoat region comprises a second platinum group metal (PGM) and a second support material; a third washcoat region disposed on the substrate, wherein the third washcoat region comprises a third platinum group metal (PGM) and a third support material; and wherein either: (i) the third washcoat region is adjacent to the second washcoat region; or (ii) the second washcoat region is disposed or supported on the third washcoat region. Also described are uses and methods involving the oxidation catalyst.
ZONED DIESEL OXIDATION CATALYST
An oxidation catalyst is described for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine, which oxidation catalyst comprises: a substrate; a first washcoat region disposed on the substrate, wherein the first washcoat region comprises a first platinum group metal (PGM) and a first support material; a second washcoat region adjacent to the first washcoat region, wherein the second washcoat region comprises a second platinum group metal (PGM) and a second support material; a third washcoat region disposed on the substrate, wherein the third washcoat region comprises a third platinum group metal (PGM) and a third support material; and wherein either: (i) the third washcoat region is adjacent to the second washcoat region; or (ii) the second washcoat region is disposed or supported on the third washcoat region. Also described are uses and methods involving the oxidation catalyst.
PASSIVE NOx ADSORBER
A NOx adsorber catalyst for treating an exhaust gas from a diesel engine. The NOx adsorber catalyst comprises a first region comprising a NOx adsorber material comprising a first molecular sieve catalyst. The first molecular sieve catalyst comprises a first noble metal and a first molecular sieve, and the first molecular sieve contains the noble metal. The first molecular sieve has an STI Framework Type.

The present invention provides exhaust gas purification catalyst for an internal combustion engine, and exhaust gas purification method using the catalyst. The present invention provides the exhaust gas purification catalyst including a support, a first catalyst layer on an upstream side, a second catalyst layer on a downstream side, and a third catalyst layer. In the exhaust gas purification catalyst, the upstream portion of the third catalyst layer is present on the first catalyst layer, the downstream portion of the third catalyst layer is present on the second catalyst layer, and in the middle portion between the upstream portion and the downstream portion of the third catalyst layer is present between the first catalyst layer and the second catalyst layer.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
An exhaust gas purification catalyst provides excellent removal performance of methane, which is chemically stable. Exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a substrate that divides cells through which an exhaust gas flows and a catalyst layer that is provided on a surface of the substrate. The catalyst layer includes a palladium layer containing palladium that extends from a first end part which is an end part on the side into which an exhaust gas in the cells flows to a second end part which is an end part on the side from which an exhaust gas flows out, a platinum layer containing platinum that extends from the second end part to the first end part, and a rhodium layer containing rhodium that is laminated with both the palladium layer and the platinum layer.
CATALYTIC ARTICLE COMPRISING VANADIUM-BASED CATALYST AND MOLECULAR SIEVE-BASED CATALYST
The present invention relates to a catalytic article for purifying an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, which comprises a first region containing a vanadium-based SCR catalyst, a second region containing a metal-promoted molecular sieve catalyst, and a third region containing a vanadium-based SCR catalyst, wherein at least part of the second region is located downstream of at least part of the first region and upstream of at least part of the third region in the exhaust gas flow direction, provided that no part of the second region is located upstream of the first region or downstream of the third region. The present invention also relates to a method and a system for treatment of an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides by selective catalytic reduction using the catalytic article.

A catalytic wall-flow monolith filter for use in an emission treatment system comprises a wall flow monolith comprising a porous substrate having surfaces that define the channels and having a first zone extending in the longitudinal direction from a first end face towards a second end face for a distance less than the filter length and a second zone extending in the longitudinal direction from the second end face towards the first end face and extending in the longitudinal direction for a distance less than the filter length, wherein a first SCR catalyst is distributed throughout the first zone of the porous substrate, an ammonia oxidation catalyst is distributed throughout the second zone of the porous substrate and a second SCR catalyst is located in a layer that covers the surfaces in the second zone of the porous substrate.

The invention relates to a diesel oxidation catalyst which has a support body with a length L extending between a first end face a and a second end face b and catalytically active material zones A, B, and C arranged on the support body, whereinmaterial zone A contains palladium or platinum and palladium in a weight ratio of Pt:Pd of 1 and an alkaline earth metal and extends over 20 to 80% of the length L starting from the end face a, material zone B contains ceroxide, is free of platinum, and extends over 20 to 80% of the length L starting from the end face b, material zone C contains platinum or platinum and palladium in a weight ratio of Pt:Pd of 5, and neither material zone A nor material zone C is arranged over material zone B.
