DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A CLEANING FLUID
A device for providing at least one cleaning fluid, having a collecting container which by means of a pump and a fluid line is connected to a first cleaning container within which there is received a first cleaning component, further comprising a sensor unit and a control unit for controlling the pump and for interrupting a fluid loop depending on a concentration measured by the sensor unit in a contactless way.
Material Mixing System
The invention relates generally to a mixing system for mixing a dry material with a liquid. The mixing system includes a supply of dry material and a supply of liquid. An infinitely variable metering device meters the dry material into the liquid. A sensor senses the ratio of dry material to liquid. The sensor is operatively connected to the metering device to control the metering device to obtain a desired ratio of dry material to liquid. The dry material is dispensed volumetrically by volume of liquid to form the desired ratio of dry material to liquid.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREMIXING DIALYSATE
An apparatus for premixing fluids to form dialysate for an extracorporeal blood treatment includes at least a first feed portion for supplying at least a first fluid from at least a first fluid reservoir, at least a second feed portion for supplying at least a second fluid from at least a second fluid reservoir, a premixing portion being configured to premix fluids supplied via the feed portions in counter flow to form a fluid mixture and at least one drain portion for draining the fluid mixture premixed in the premixing portion as dialysate. A method carries out appropriate steps. In a conductivity measurement along the drain portion the conductivity of the premixed fluid mixture is measured by means of a digital filter adapted to be parameterized based on at least two state variables of the premixing process at least in two phases with a first predictive phase and a second corrective phase.

HORTICULTURAL NUTRIENT CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to a horticultural nutrient control system and method for using same. The invention relates to an apparatus, and related methods, for automatically formulating, storing, and dispensing a nutrient solution to one or more horticultural crop, comprising: a) a reservoir unit for receiving a nutrient solution, mixing said nutrient solution, and dispensing said nutrient solution to a corresponding horticultural crop, wherein said reservoir unit comprises: i) a vertical cylindrical tank terminating at a cone-shaped bottom outlet; ii) a plurality of vertical baffles extending from the interior surface of the reservoir unit; and iii) a plurality of fluid eductors positioned along the length of each baffle, said fluid eductors adapted to deliver said nutrient solution in combination with oxygen to said reservoir unit; b) a nutrient delivery assembly fluidly connecting a water source and a plurality of nutritional component sources to said reservoir unit, said nutrient delivery assembly adapted to controllably deliver said water and nutritional components to said reservoir unit through said plurality of fluid eductors; c) controller coupled to said nutrient delivery assembly and adapted to direct the delivery of said water and nutritional components to the reservoir unit; and d) a storage-control unit for housing at least a central processing unit, said nutrient delivery assembly, and said plurality of nutritional component sources, wherein said central processing unit is operably coupled to said controller.
Fluid Management and Measurement Systems, Devices, and Methods
A medicament preparation system includes a disposable cartridge with a flow path. Various sensors may be placed on the cartridge to measure qualities of the fluid flowing through the flow path. The sensors are placed in precise locations using various approaches that make manufacturing of the cartridge efficient and repeatable. A drain line that is susceptible to fouling may be preattached and various approaches are used to remove or reduce the fouling. An elastomeric contact can also be present in the medical preparation system and used in a conductivity measurement subsystem.
System and method for compensating binary inlet buffers during inline buffer diluation
Liquid blending systems and methods of blending liquids are provided. In particular, systems and methods for compensating binary inlet buffers during inline buffer dilution are provided. The systems and methods can provide blends of diluent, a first buffer concentrate containing a majority of a tempering component, and a second buffer concentrate containing a minority of a tempering component. The flow of the first buffer concentrate can be adjusted based upon the total amount of the tempering component being added to the blend through the first and second buffer concentrates.
