The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for mixing and injecting fluid treatment, such as cement to treat bone or hard tissue. In some embodiments, a mixing apparatus may facilitate mixing within a syringe. Additionally, the syringe may be configured to extract bone cement from a cement mixer. A syringe for mixing and injecting cement may include a detachable handle that may be detached after extracting bone cement from a mixer to facilitate coupling to a high-pressure syringe for injection.

Problem: To supply a device and a method for accurately discharging a fixed amount of a liquid, the liquid containing solid particles, in a state that the solid particles are dispersed in the liquid material. Solution: A discharge device for a liquid material containing solid particles includes a first reservoir, a first air pressure supply pipe, a metering portion having a metering hole, a plunger moving back and forth in the metering hole, a nozzle, a switching valve having a first position and a second position, a plunger driver, and a switching valve driver. The discharge device further includes a second reservoir, a second air pressure supply pipe, a branch portion provided in an upper portion of the metering hole and having a branch flow path, and an opening/closing mechanism that establishes or cuts off communication between the second reservoir and the metering hole. In the discharge device, the liquid material inside the first reservoir can be transferred to the second reservoir, and the liquid material inside the second reservoir can be transferred to the first reservoir. A discharge method is carried out using the discharge device.

A device for mixing a medical agent and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the device comprises (i) a housing defining a chamber configured to contain a fluid and having a longitudinal axis, (ii) a plunger assembly at least partially disposed within the chamber, the plunger assembly comprising a plunger and a stirring member extending along the longitudinal axis, and (iii) an actuating assembly operably coupled to the stirring member. The actuating assembly can have an active state in which the actuating assembly causes a distal end portion of the stirring member to rotate at a predetermined speed.

A mixing device for bone cement comprising a plunger for extruding the mixed material, which plunger is also used as a cover. The plunger has spring blades adapted to be latched on a collar of the housing.

Disclosed is a two-component mixing capsule for intake and for mixing of two compositions with a capsule housing having a discharge spout at its front end, wherein the mixing capsule comprises a first mixing chamber and a second mixing chamber, wherein the two mixing chambers may be separated from each other for storage or for transport, by the first mixing chamber being rotatable into a first position in which the first mixing chamber is separated from mixing chamber, by a rotatably mounted handhold element, the rotational axis of which is approximately perpendicularly arranged to the longitudinal axis of the mixing capsule. Examples of containers for the production of a foamed sclerosant composition are provided.
