Method and apparatus for capturing mixing bar
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for capturing a stir bar in a container. A stir bar may be placed in a container and subjected to a changing magnetic field that causes the stir bar to rotate inside the container. A retaining band or sleeve having metallic or magnetic inserts or materials is placed around a portion of the container so that it is positioned near where the stir bar may be located or might slide past as the contents of the container are poured out of the container. Magnetic attraction between the retaining band or sleeve and the stir bar helps prevent the stir bar from inadvertently being poured out of the container.
DECANTING DEVICE
A decanting device including a shell body, a switch, a pump body and a telescopic rod. The switch is electrically connected to the pump body. The pump body is arranged in the shell body and extends outward the shell body with a gas blowing port. The upper end of the telescopic rod is movably connected to the gas blowing port, and the lower end is provided with a plugging cover. The telescopic rod is hollowly arranged. A plurality of gas vent groups are arranged on the peripheral wall of the telescopic rod from bottom to top alternately, and each gas vent group includes gas outlet vents spaced along the circumferential direction. The gas outlet vent communicates with the gas blowing port of the pump body through the telescopic rod. The diameter of the gas outlet vent of the adjacent gas vent groups is reduced from bottom to top.
LIQUID DIFFUSING FILTER
A liquid-diffusing filter which can aerate a liquid by diffusing it and thus exposing it to air to oxygenate the liquid. The user can pour a liquid through the device and it comes out diffused. Thus a superior liquid aerating solution is provided that can more simply aerate a beverage.
METHOD FOR AERATING A WINE PRIOR TO TASTING SAME, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICE
Disclosed is a method for aerating a wine prior to tasting same, the wine being contained in a bottle comprising a neck sealed by a cork. The method involves, after removal of the cork, bringing the wine into contact with a volume of air for a period before tasting it, the volume of air being defined as that required for the wine to open up, which depends on the properties of the wine, closing the bottle again so as to isolate the wine and the defined volume of air from the outside, homogenizing the content of the bottle, and waiting for a defined period P0 prior to tasting same.
WINE AERATION DEVICE
One embodiment provides a wine aerating device, including: a funnel-shaped container comprising a bottom that is provided with an outlet aperture having a predetermined size, wherein said funnel-shaped container is at least partially filled with a multitude of substantially spherical elements for breaking up and diverting a flow of wine streaming from the top to the bottom of said funnel-shaped container, each of said substantially spherical elements having a size significantly smaller than the size of said outlet aperture, and wherein a non-spherical element having a size greater than the size of said outlet aperture is placed upon said outlet aperture to partially block it, thereby preventing said spherical or nearly-spherical elements to pass through said outlet aperture while allowing the passage of wine through said outlet aperture and increasing the wine's turbulent motion and oxigenation while coming out of said funnel-shaped container. Other aspects are described and claimed.
Quick Decanter
A decanter includes a first body and a second body mounted on the first body. The first body is provided with a bottle insert, a curved wine channel and a wine outlet. The curved wine channel has an opening and is provided with a plurality of stepped portions. The second body covers and closes the first body, and a mixing cavity is defined between the second body and the curved wine channel. The second body is provided with a plurality of stop plates. The stop plates and the stepped portions form a tortuous passage in the mixing cavity. In practice, when the wine in the wine bottle enters the mixing cavity, the wine hits and is stirred by the stepped portions and the stop plates to enhance the mixing effect of the wine and the air.
Valve for dispensing a liquid and optionally aerating it
A valve for dispensing a liquid includes a housing, an internal liquid passage extending through the housing, a valve seat, a valve member movable between a closed position engaging the valve seat and an open position disengaging the valve seat, and a control member controlling movement of the valve member, which is movable between a first position in which it engages the valve member in its closed position, a second position in which the valve member is in its open position but still engaging the control member and a third position in which the valve member is in its open position and out of engagement with the control member. At least one air passage connects the outside of the valve with the internal liquid passage. The at least one air passage is closed in the first and second positions of the control member and is opened in the third position.
Liquid aerating device
A liquid aerating device is presented. The device includes a first inner channel through which air flows in a first direction, a second inner channel extending substantially parallel to the first inner channel, wherein liquid flows through the second inner channel in a second direction that is opposite of the first direction, and an aeration chamber. The aeration chamber is connected to the first inner channel and the second inner channel, and positioned such that the air flows into the first inner channel from the aeration chamber and the liquid flows out of the second inner channel into the aeration chamber.
Method and installation for preparing a drink, particularly wine, for tasting
The invention relates to an installation (1) for preparing a beverage, in particular a wine, for tasting, said installation (1) including a liquid flow pipe (2) equipped with at least one feed inlet (3) for feeding in beverage for preparation, and a with at least one dispensing outlet (4) for dispensing the prepared beverage. Said pipe (2) is provided with Peltier-effect cooling and/or heating means (5) and with aeration means (6) for cooling and/or heating and for aerating the inside of the pipe (2), the two means being disposed along the pipe over different segments of said pipe that are referred to respectively as the cooling and/or heating segment (7) and as the aeration segment (8).
MAGNETIC MIXING APPARATUS
A container having a captive rotatable magnet to induce spinning of a separate unattached stirring implement placed in the container. The captive rotatable magnet may be part of an active mixer attached to the container. It may also be passively housed in a chamber in the bottom of the container to be spun under the influence of an external mixer to transmit by coupling the spinning to the separate spinning implement. The stirring implement is magnetically retained within the container during the pouring of a mixed substance.
