MACHINE AND METHOD FOR TREATING PARTS OF DIFFERENT SHAPES
This invention relates to a machine for treating parts with different shapes, comprising a chamber); a vacuum system; treatment systems, including a plasma generating system and/or a vacuum deposition system; and a transport system which is capable of displacing the part or parts in the chamber irrespectively of the shape of these parts; characterized in that the treatment systems include a laser system which is designed to treat the part or parts disposed in the chamber.
PHOTOLYTIC CONVERTER
The present invention provides a photolytic converter for converting reactant molecules in a fluid sample into product molecules by photolytic dissociation with electromagnetic radiation. The converter has a reaction chamber in communication with one or more electromagnetic radiation sources, an inflow conduit for conveying the fluid sample into the reaction chamber, and an outflow conduit for conveying the fluid sample out of the reaction chamber into a receptacle, wherein at least one of the first and outflow conduits extends into the reaction chamber. The receptacle can comprise detection means for generating a signal indicative of a concentration of product molecules in the processed fluid sample.
Method of controlling recombination or back reactions of products and byproducts in a dissociation reaction
The present invention provides a method of controlling back reactions or recombination reactions of product molecules formed in a dissociation reaction of reactant molecules of a fluid sample, in a reaction chamber. The method comprises introducing the fluid sample into the reaction chamber through one or more inlets, initiating the dissociation reaction of the reactant molecules of the fluid sample in the reaction chamber to form the product molecules, creating a patterned flow of the fluid sample in the reaction chamber to reduce/minimize disordered and/or turbulent mixing of the reactant molecules and/or product molecules in the fluid sample, and conveying the fluid sample comprising the product molecules out from the reaction chamber through one or more outlets.
Generating interactive messages with asynchronous media content
Systems and methods are provided for sending serialized data for an interactive message comprising a first session data item to a second computing device to render the interactive message using the first session data item and display the rendered interactive message comprising a first media content item associated with a first interactive object and receiving, from the second computing device, a second media content item associated with a second interactive object of the interactive message. The systems and methods further provided for generating a second session data item for the second interactive object of the interactive message, adding the second session data item to the serialized data, and sending the serialized data to a third computing device to render the interactive message using the serialized data and display the rendered interactive message comprising the first media content item and the second media content item.
CHEMICAL METHODS FOR DIAMOND SURFACE FUNCTIONALIZATION
Disclosed is a method for wet chemical functionalization of single crystal diamond surfaces that involves gentle reaction conditions. This method enables a wide range of functional groups and molecules to be tethered to the diamond surface. The method is compatible with the formation of stable nitrogen vacancy centers with long spin coherence times within nanometers of the diamond surface.
Method for the infrared-light-induced yield optimization of chemical reactions by means of vibration excitation
A method for the infrared-light-induced yield optimization of chemical reactions is provided. An energy input into at least one starting material that is subjected to a chemical reaction takes place by means of infrared light pulses having a mean wavelength in the range of 2000 to 100000 nm. The chemical reaction here is a reaction in which a product, the molecular formula of which does not correspond to the molecular formula of the starting material, is formed and wherein the yield optimization for the most part is not based on a thermal heating of the starting material. The infrared light pulses have a fixed wavelength and the energy input into the starting material takes place by means of vibration excitation by a one-photon process.
Hydrogen generating cell
A hydrogen generating fuel cell includes an anode and a cathode separated by a channel configured to hold liquid water or water vapor. At least one of the anode and the cathode are porous. The hydrogen generating fuel cell includes a power source electrically connected to the anode and the cathode and an ultraviolet radiation source positioned to emit ultraviolet radiation from the anode to the cathode, the cathode to the anode, or both directions. A hydrogen generating system and a method of generating hydrogen are also disclosed.
Methods of producing diamond particles and apparatus therefor
A solid state combinatorial synthesis of particulate diamond ranging in size from the macroscopic down to the nanoscale, which entails: a) forming a solution having a source of reactant atoms, a tetrahedranoidal compound reactant, and a solvent vehicle; b) forming liquid droplets of the solution; c) evaporating the solvent vehicle from the liquid droplets of the solution to form particles containing a homogenous solid mixture of the reactants; and d) exposing the particles of the homogeneous solid mixture to a high energy discharge thereby forming diamond particles.
