An absorbent apparatus is provided for an air dryer purge air cleaner. The absorbent apparatus comprises a volume for containing absorbent material. The absorbent apparatus also comprises absorbent material that is both oleophilic and hydrophobic and is packed in the volume to provide a packed bed of absorbent material with a predetermined packing density. The packing of the material provides for a first and second flow path of an effluent stream through the absorbent material.

Product for oil pollution remediation
The invention is both a product and a method for the safe, harmless and effective remediation of oil spills on water and on land. The oil can then be successfully recovered from the product for use. The invention also allows for the reuse of two waste products—post consumer plastics and coal combustion product—into a material that is used for the clean-up of oil spills and for site remediation. Furthermore, the used product can be reprocessed post use into more usable product.
FIBRILLATED BICOMPONENT FIBERS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USES THEREOF
The subject matter disclosed herein relates generally to microdenier fabrics comprising fibrillated bicomponent fibers. The bicomponent fibers can be fibrillated mechanically by hydroentangling, where the hydroentangling energy is sufficient for fibrillating as well as entangling or bonding the fibers. The bicomponent fibers can have an island-in-the-sea configuration. The micro-denier fabrics can be woven, knitted, or nonwoven. A nonwoven fabric made from the bicomponent fibers can be formed by either spunbonding or through the use of bicomponent staple fibers formed into a web by any one of several means and bonded similarly to those used for the spunbonded filament webs.
Organic polymer compositions for removal of oxoanions from aqueous solutions
An organic polymer composition (OPC) comprising guanidinium-containing A units interconnected with B units of the formula *—R*).sub.r, wherein each asterisk (*) in A units denotes a connection point with an asterisk in B units; R is a hydrocarbon linking group containing at least one carbon atom; r is an integer of 1, 2, or 3; and the composition necessarily includes an anionic species X.sup.m− with a magnitude of charge m of at least 1, wherein the sum of negative charge provided by anionic species X.sup.m− counterbalances the total positive charge provided by the A units. Also described herein is a method for removing one or more oxoanions from an aqueous source by (i) contacting the aqueous source with the above described OPC to result in absorption of the oxoanion into the OPC to produce an oxoanion-containing OPC; and (ii) removing the oxoanion-containing OPC from the aqueous source.
USE OF POLYMERIC BEADS TO REMOVE OXIDATIVE COMPOUNDS FROM LIQUIDS
The present disclosure provides a means to remove oxidative compounds such as free halogen and chloramines from a liquid, while also providing components with antimicrobial properties in order to combat biofouling and the shedding of pathogens into liquids. In particular, methods of removing an oxidative compound from a liquid in which the liquid is contacted with one or more polymeric beads. As described herein, the oxidative compound binds to the polymeric bead and is removed from the liquid.

A method of recycling superabsorbent polymers derived from a used absorbent article, the method including: treating the superabsorbent polymers with ozone water after inactivation; reactivating, with an alkaline aqueous solution, the superabsorbent polymers treated with the ozone water; and adding hydrophilic fine particles to the superabsorbent polymers reactivated with the alkaline aqueous solution and then drying the superabsorbent polymers.
