COATED RESIN PARTICLES AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING COATED RESIN PARTICLES
One aspect of the present invention relates to a coated resin particle including: a water-absorbent resin particle; and a coating layer that coats at least a part of a surface of the water-absorbent resin particle, in which the coating layer contains a water-soluble component in which a solubility in 100 g of water is in a range of 1.0 g or more and 150 g or less at 25° C.
Method for in-situ generation of nanoflower-like manganese dioxide catalyst on filter material
A method for in-situ generation of nanoflower-like manganese dioxide catalyst on filter material is provided. The method comprises: immersing a filter material in a solution containing sodium lauryl sulfate and nitric acid; first modifying the surface of the filter material by using the sodium lauryl sulfate so that a charge layer is wound around the surface of the filter material and tightly absorbs H.sup.+ in an acid solution; and then adding potassium permanganate as an oxidant to react with H.sup.30 on the surface of the filter material to generate nano flower-like manganese dioxide in situ on the surface of the filter material, so as to obtain a composite filter material having a denitration function.
Adsorptive temporary fixing sheet and method for manufacturing same
Provided is an adsorption temporary fixing sheet having a sufficient shear adhesive strength in a direction parallel to its surface, and having a weak adhesive strength in a direction vertical to the surface. Also provided is a method of producing such adsorption temporary fixing sheet. The adsorption temporary fixing sheet includes a foam layer including an open-cell structure, wherein, when a silicon chip vertical adhesive strength of a surface of the foam layer after 20 hours at each of such different temperatures as −40° C., 23° C., or 125° C. is represented by V1 (N/1 cm□), V2 (N/1 cm□), or V3 (N/1 cm□) and when a silicon chip shearing adhesive strength of the surface of the foam layer after 20 hours at each of the different temperatures (−40° C., 23° C., or 125° C.) is represented by H1 (N/1 cm□), H2 (N/1 cm□), or H3 (N/1 cm□), relationships of V1<H1, V2<H2, and V3<H3 are satisfied.
PORTABLE ODOR DETECTION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to the isolation and amplification of odors so that the underlying odorous material might be located. The present invention utilizes a triple layer odor absorbent sampling media, solvents, and a heat source to isolate and amplify the odors. Once the source of the odor is located, the odorous material can then be cleaned.
SOLID FILTRATION MEDIUM INCORPORATING POLYACRYLAMIDE POWDER AND CARBON
Described herein is a an adsorbent and/or absorbent composition, a method of preparing the adsorbent and/or absorbent composition, and method of treating a fluid stream with the adsorbent and/or absorbent composition. Alumina and carbon are combined with polyacrylamide (PAM) powder and water in preferred proportions and impregnates such as Group 1A metal hydroxides. Group 7A salts of Group 1A metals optionally can be added.
Superabsorbent polymer and preparation method thereof
Provided is a method of preparing a superabsorbent polymer. More particularly, provided is a method of preparing a superabsorbent polymer, the method capable of preparing the superabsorbent polymer maintaining excellent basic absorption performances such as centrifugal retention capacity, absorbency under load, etc. while also exhibiting an improved absorption rate.
Mesoporous Poly (Aryl Ether Ketone) Hollow Fiber Membranes And Use Thereof In Mass Transfer Processes
A process for the efficient transfer of molecules between phases employing mesoporous poly (aryl ether ketone) hollow fiber membranes is provided. The method addresses the controlled transfer of reactants into and removal of reaction products from a reaction media and the removal and separation of target molecules from process streams by membrane-assisted liquid-liquid extraction. A number of possible modes of liquid-liquid extraction are possible according to the invention by utilizing porous poly (aryl ether ketone) hollow fiber membranes of Janus-like structure that exhibit a combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic surface characteristics. The method of the present invention can address the continuous manufacture of chemicals in membrane reactors and is useful for a broad range of separation applications, including separation and recovery of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Porous Solid Amine Adsorbents and Applications
Porous solid amine adsorbents are prepared by bringing into contact a first (e.g., dope) solution, including a water insoluble polymer and a water-soluble amine polymer, with an aqueous solution containing a multifunctional chemical agent. The first solution can be obtained by dissolving the water insoluble polymer and the water-soluble amine polymer in a polar solvent. The adsorbents can be in the form of beads, sheets, fibers, hollow fibers, etc. and can be used in the removal of acid gases, CO.sub.2, for instance, from fluid streams.
