Drying System, Dryer Cartridge, and Use of a Dryer Cartridge
A drying system for removal of water from a liquid is provided with a device for receiving the liquid and a dryer cartridge with a cartridge body and a connection head arranged at the cartridge body. The cartridge body has a cartridge body wall delimiting a receiving chamber, at least in sections thereof, wherein the cartridge body wall allows the liquid to pass into and out of the receiving chamber. A drying agent is received in the receiving chamber. The connection head of the dryer cartridge is fastened to a housing wall of the device for receiving the liquid and secures the dryer cartridge at the device for receiving the liquid so that the cartridge body is fixed relative to the housing wall.
Dryer Cartridge, Drying System, and Use Thereof
A dryer cartridge for removal of water from a liquid is provided with a cartridge body having a receiving chamber and a cartridge body wall delimiting the receiving chamber at least in sections thereof, wherein the cartridge body wall allows the liquid to flow through. A drying agent is arranged in the receiving chamber. A connection head is provided that can fasten the dryer cartridge in an opening of a housing wall of a device for receiving the liquid. The connection head has a connection opening and the connection opening connects in fluid communication the receiving chamber to an environment of the cartridge body. A drying system is provided with a device for receiving the liquid and with the dryer cartridge that can be fastened to an opening of a housing wall of a device for receiving the liquid.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BATCH SORBENT MATERIAL REUSE
Methods, sorbent cartridges and cleaning devices are disclosed for refurbishing sorbent materials. In one implementation among multiple implementations, a medical fluid delivery method includes: providing a sorbent cartridge including H.sup.+ZP within a casing for a treatment; and after the treatment, refurbishing the H.sup.+ZP while maintained within the casing via (i) regenerating the non-disinfected H.sup.+ZP by flowing an acid solution through the casing, (ii) rinsing the regenerated H.sup.+ZP while maintained within the casing, (iii) disinfecting the regenerated and rinsed H.sup.+ZP by flowing a disinfecting agent through the casing, and (iv) rinsing the regenerated and disinfected H.sup.+ZP while maintained within the casing. Multiple batch sorbent refubishing implementations are also disclosed.

Method and system for controlled hyperthermia
Methods and for treatment of cancer and other diseases including complications from late stage viral infections by inducing hyperthermia in a patient relying on withdrawing blood from the patient and returning the withdrawn blood to the patient to establish an extracorporeal flow circuit. Blood is heated by passing through the extracorporeal circuit at a controlled rate until a target body core temperature in is achieved. Usually, the blood will be subjected to a continuously re-circulating dialysis to balance electrolytes. Additionally, the blood will be subjected to a continuously recirculating regeneration through a carbon sorbent column where toxins and contaminants are removed. The blood temperature is maintained at the target blood temperature for a treatment period, and the blood is cooled after the treatment period has been completed. The method can also be effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, hepatitis, sepsis, the Epstein-Barr virus, and patients with life threatening complications from other viruses, including the COVID-19 virus. A method for removing viruses from the blood supply in an external circuit is also presented.
SINTERED BODY FOR ADSORPTION, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND ADSORPTION DEVICE
To adsorb a substance to be treated in a fluid (7) with a higher adsorption capacity and lower pressure loss, an adsorptive sintered compact (20) includes powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b), and resin structures (2) in which voids (3) are formed in a three-dimensional network. The powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b) include free adsorbent materials (1a) free-movably contained in the voids (3) between the resin structures (2), and fixed adsorbent materials (1b) fixed to a surface (2a) of the resin structure (2) and/or at least partly embedded inside the resin structure (2), and the powder adsorbent materials (1a, 1b) are at least one of powdered activated carbon, powdered activated clay, and zeolite.
Stacked sorbent assembly
A stacked sorbent assembly for use in sorbent dialysis. The stacked sorbent assembly contains two or more interchangeable sorbent pouches that allow for fluid to freely pass into and through the sorbent materials, while keeping the sorbent materials inside the sorbent pouches. Any of the pouches in the sorbent cartridge can be reused and/or recharged.
ZIRCONIUM OXIDE MODULE CONDITIONING
The invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for conditioning a zirconium oxide sorbent module for use in dialysis after recharging. The devices, systems, and methods can provide for conditioning and recharging of zirconium oxide in a single system, or in separate systems.
Chromatography Beads, Production and Use Threreof
The present invention relates to chromatography beads, production and use thereof. More closely the invention relates to small, rigid and nan-permeable agarose beads suitable for example as stationary phase in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for analyses of biomolecules, such as, peptides and proteins; and methods for producing such beads.
