Certain embodiments of the invention are directed to nitrogen rich two dimensional hexagonal C.sub.3N.sub.4.6 mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride (gMCN) material formed from cyclic amino-triazole precursors, the gMCN having a rod shape morphology and an average pore diameter between 4 to 6 nm.
MOLECULAR SIEVE SSZ-110, ITS SYNTHESIS AND USE
An aluminosilicate molecular sieve of STW framework type, designated herein as SSZ-110, and having a molar ratio of SiO.sub.2/Al.sub.2O.sub.3 of less than 100, is provided. SSZ-110 may be synthesized using an organic structure directing agent selected from one or more of 1,4-bis(2,3-dimethyl-1H-imidazolium)butane dications, 1,5-bis(2,3-dimethyl-1H-imidazolium)pentane dications, and 1,6-bis(2,3-dimethyl-1H-imidazolium)hexane dications. SSZ-110 may be used in organic compound conversion reactions and sorptive processes.
Short channel ordered mesoporous carbon loaded indium cobalt sulfide and indium nickel sulfide ternary composite photocatalyst, the preparation method thereof and the use thereof
A short channel ordered mesoporous carbon loaded indium cobalt sulfide and indium nickel sulfide ternary composite photocatalyst, and a preparation method and application thereof. The short channel ordered mesoporous carbon loaded indium cobalt sulfide and indium nickel sulfide ternary composite photocatalyst is prepared by mixing pretreated short channel mesoporous carbon with cobalt salt, nickel salt, indium salt and reducing agent with a hydrothermal reaction. The short channel ordered mesoporous carbon is obtained by calcining a short channel ordered mesoporous silica and a carbon source under the protection of nitrogen, wherein the short channel ordered mesoporous silica is prepared by carrying out reactions of sol-gel-hydrothermal-calcination sequentially using a mixture of a surfactant, a hydrochloric acid solution, ammonium fluoride and tetraethyl orthosilicate. The photocatalyst has strong adsorption and visible light catalytic activity on VOCs, and can effectively adsorb and decompose the enriched VOCs in situ on the surface of the catalyst.
Crystalline metallophosphates, their method of preparation, and use
A new family of crystalline microporous metallophosphates designated AlPO-90 has been synthesized. These metallophosphates are represented by the empirical formula
R.sup.+.sub.rM.sub.m.sup.2+EP.sub.xSi.sub.yO.sub.z
where R is an organoammonium cation, M is a framework metal alkaline earth or transition metal of valence +2, and E is a trivalent framework element such as aluminum or gallium. The AlPO-90 compositions are characterized by a new unique ABC-6 net structure, and have catalytic properties suitable for carrying out various hydrocarbon conversion processes, as well as characteristics suitable for the efficient adsorption of water vapor in a variety of applications, such as adsorption heat pumps.
MWF-type zeolite
An MWF-type zeolite, wherein, when the heights of peaks around 2=11.1 and 13.8 in a peak obtained by X-ray diffraction are defined as A and B, respectively, 0.63B/A0.80 satisfied.
COLORIMETRIC SENSORS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A colorimetric sensor for detecting an analyte of interest that includes multiple surfaces and a molecularly imprinted polymer defining a cavity shaped to receive an analyte of interest. Each surface defines a void (e.g., a pore or a nanohole) and at least one surface defines a fluid inlet. The sensor is configured such that, when an analyte contacts the molecularly imprinted polymer and becomes disposed within the cavity, a wettability of at least one of the surfaces changes thereby to cause a detectable color change in the sensor. Optionally, the sensor may also include a metal layer at a bottom of each void or nanohole and outside a top of each void or nanohole for use as a plasmon resonance-type sensor.
