COPPER CHA ZEOLITE CATALYSTS
Zeolite catalysts and systems and methods for preparing and using zeolite catalysts having the CHA crystal structure are disclosed. The catalysts can be used to remove nitrogen oxides from a gaseous medium across a broad temperature range and exhibit hydrothermal stable at high reaction temperatures. The zeolite catalysts include a zeolite carrier having a silica to alumina ratio from about 15:1 to about 256:1 and a copper to alumina ratio from about 0.25:1 to about 1:1.
INHIBITION-FREE LOW-TEMPERATURE ENGINE EXHAUST OXIDATION CATALYST
The present disclosure provides a method for preparing a supported metal alloy catalyst for low temperature engine exhaust oxidation without CO or NO inhibition. The catalyst includes bimetallic PdCu alloy deposited on a SiO.sub.2 support using the strong electrostatic adsorption method. The PdCu catalyst may be combined with a traditional PGM-based automotive oxidation catalyst in a series or dual-bed configuration. The first stage of the dual-bed system includes the PdCu catalyst, with the primary role of oxidizing CO at low temperature; the PGM-based catalyst in the second stage then oxidizes NO and hydrocarbons in the absence of any CO-inhibition effects.
Process of Selectively Hydrogenating Gas Mixture Having High Acetylene Content
Disclosed is a process for converting methane into value-added compounds. In this process, a gas mixture containing hydrogen as well as high-concentration acetylene formed through methane pyrolysis (e.g. non-oxidative coupling of methane) is selectively hydrogenated in the presence of a bimetallic supported catalyst. This process obtains ethylene from acetylene in the gas mixture while unreacted methane and hydrogen are recovered as byproducts and/or additionally recycled.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing core-shell catalyst
The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a core-shell catalyst, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a core-shell catalyst, in which a particle in the form of a core-shell in which the metal nanoparticle is coated with platinum is manufactured by substituting copper and platinum through a method of manufacturing a metal nanoparticle by emitting a laser beam to a metal ingot, and providing a particular electric potential value, and as a result, it is possible to continuously produce nanoscale uniform core-shell catalysts in large quantities.
NOVEL ZONED CATALYSTS FOR CNG ENGINE EXHAUST GAS TREATMENTS WITH IMPROVED AMMONIA EMISSION CONTROL
A three-way catalyst article, and its use in an exhaust system for compressed natural gas engines, is disclosed. The catalyst article for treating exhaust gas from compressed natural gas (CNG) engine comprising: a substrate comprising an inlet end, an outlet end with an axial length L; a first catalytic region beginning at the outlet end and extending for less than the axial length L, wherein the first catalytic region comprises a first zeolite; and a second catalytic region beginning at the inlet end, wherein the second catalytic region comprises a second platinum group metal (PGM) component, a second oxygen storage capacity (OSC) material, and a second inorganic oxide; wherein the second PGM component is selected from the group consisting of palladium, platinum, rhodium or a combination thereof.
HIGH PERFORMANCE PLATINUM-BASED CATALYST COMBINED WITH CARBON SUPPORT ENGINEERING
Provided herein are improved Pt-based electrochemical catalyst (or electrocatalyst) for ORR, exhibiting a combination of high activity and high stability, along with reduced usage of scarce Pt. The Pt-based electrocatalyst is loaded on a catalyst support, which is developed through carbon engineering to impart improved performance to the Pt-based electrocatalyst.
CATALYST FOR PRODUCING ISOPROPYLBENZENE AND THE PRODUCTION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
Described are a catalyst for producing isopropylbenzene and the production method and use thereof. The catalyst includes a support and an active component supported on the support, wherein the support comprises a support substrate and a modifying auxiliary component supported on the support substrate, wherein the active component includes metal palladium and/or an oxide thereof, and the modifying auxiliary component is phosphorus and/or an oxide thereof; optionally, the active component further includes metal copper and/or an oxide thereof; the catalyst further includes a sulfur-containing compound.
Methods and systems for production of elongated carbon nanofibers
A system and process for producing macro length carbon nanotubes is disclosed. A carbonate electrolyte including transition metal powder is provided between a nickel alloy anode and a nickel alloy cathode contained in a cell. The carbonate electrolyte is heated to a molten state. An electrical current is applied to the nickel alloy anode, nickel alloy cathode, and the molten carbonate electrolyte disposed between the anode and cathode. The resulting carbon nanotube growth is collected from the cathode of the cell.
