The outer wall (3) comprises a first plurality of longitudinally extending ribs (20) arranged side by side with longitudinal gaps (21) extending in the circumferential direction between two adjacent ribs (20), and a circumferentially extending first scaffold (22) encircling and being fixedly attached to a peripheral outer surface (29) of said plurality of longitudinally extending ribs (20). Further, a reactor using such flow distributor (100) is provided.
Basket-like device having wall insulation
A device D accommodated in a reactor R and containing a gas- and/or liquid-permeable bottom B, in the peripheral region of which is arranged a lateral boundary W which completely surrounds the bottom B and forms a volume V which is partially or completely filled with catalytic and/or non-catalytic moldings, there optionally being located on the side facing the bottom B in the upstream direction at least one noble metal and/or non-noble metal fabric, wherein a thermal insulation layer S is located on at least part of the surface of the inner side of the lateral boundary W of the device D, the material for the thermal insulation layer S being selected from the group consisting of ceramic material, microporous material and silicate fibers.
Reactor and reaction method
A method of forming a hydrocarbon product, the method comprising a first step of enriching a carrier liquid with carbon monoxide and hydrogen and a subsequent step of bringing the enriched carrier liquid into contact with a catalyst in a first reaction zone of a reactor, wherein the catalyst catalyzes reaction of the carbon monoxide and hydrogen to form the hydrocarbon product.
FIXED BED ARRANGEMENT
A fixed bed arrangement formed as an insert for a reactor for catalytic conversion of reaction media, in particular for catalytic methanation of a gas mixture including hydrogen and carbon dioxide, having a receiving chamber, which extends axially within an outer sleeve, and through which reaction media flows during the reactor operation for receiving a catalyst material, and a heat exchanger arrangement having a fluid flow path for a temperature control fluid, which fluid flow path is spatially separated from the receiving chamber, for removing and supplying heat from/to the process. The outer sleeve is formed by the heat exchanger arrangement, at least in regions. The fixed bed arrangement includes a reactor for the catalytic reaction of reaction media having a pressure chamber for receiving reaction media, and such a fixed bed arrangement inserted into the pressure chamber.
Flow-promoting device, a reactor arrangement and the use of such flow-promoting device
The invention refers to a flow-promoting device (100; 100; 100″) for performing a biological or chemical transformation, or physical or chemical trapping from, or release of agents to, a fluidic medium. The flow-promoting device (100; 100; 100″) comprises a ferromagnetic material (5) and a retaining structure (1; 1; 1″), the retaining structure having a compartment (9; 9″) defined by a permeable material (11; 11″). The retaining structure (1; 1; 1″) comprises a top wall (3; 3″) and a circumferential side wall (4; 4″), wherein the top wall (3; 3″) and the circumferential side wall (4; 4″) is formed mainly by said permeable material (11; 11″). The compartment (9; 9″) of the retaining structure (1; 1; 1″) is arranged to contain at least one fluid-permeable solid reaction member.
