METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DIESTER-BASED COMPOUND
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a diester-based compound, and, more particularly, to a method of manufacturing a diester-based compound, which is performed using a continuous process including a reaction part in which a total of n reaction units spanning from a first reaction unit to an nth reaction unit are connected in series, wherein each of the reaction units includes a reactor, and the method includes: supplying a feed stream including a dicarboxylic acid and an alcohol into the first reactor; esterifying the feed stream to prepare a reaction product; and supplying a lower discharge stream including the reaction product into the reactor of the rear reaction unit. In this case, a conversion rate of the esterification reaction in the first reactor is controlled in a range of 50 to 80%.
Methods and apparatuses for hydrocarbon production
Methods and apparatuses are provided for producing hydrocarbons. A method for producing hydrocarbons may include two or more reactors having a distributed aromatic rich feed and hydrogen system. Using this configuration, the aromatic rich feed and hydrogen streams are split equally to all reactors wherein each reactor contains a catalyst. The outlet from the last reactor may include a recycle that may be injected into the inlet of the first reactor.
Process for producing methanol and ammonia
A process for the co-production of methanol and ammonia is described comprising the steps of: (a) forming a first synthesis gas stream by reacting a first portion of a hydrocarbon feedstock and steam in a steam reformer, (b) forming a second synthesis gas stream in parallel to the first synthesis gas stream by reacting a second portion of the hydrocarbon feedstock with an oxygen-containing gas and steam in an autothermal reformer, (c) synthesising methanol from a first process gas comprising the first synthesis gas stream, and (d) synthesising ammonia from a second process gas prepared from the second synthesis gas stream, wherein a purge stream containing hydrogen is recovered from the methanol synthesis step (c) and a portion of the purge gas stream is fed to the autothermal reformer and/or the second synthesis gas in step (b).
Processes and systems for the conversion of acyclic hydrocarbons to cyclopentadiene
This invention relates to processes and systems for converting acyclic hydrocarbons to alkenes, cyclic hydrocarbons and/or aromatics, for example converting acyclic C.sub.5 hydrocarbons to cyclopentadiene in a reactor system. The process includes heating an electrically-conductive reaction zone by applying an electrical current to the first electrically-conductive reaction zone; and contacting a feedstock comprising acyclic hydrocarbons with a catalyst material in the electrically-conductive reaction zone under reaction conditions to convert at least a portion of the acyclic hydrocarbons to an effluent comprising alkenes, cyclic hydrocarbons, and/or aromatics.
MULTIPLE CHEMICAL PROGRAMS FOR AN ARRAY OF CHEMICAL REACTORS WITH A SINGLE ARRAY OF REACTANTS
A method for executing multiple chemical programs in parallel in an array of chemical reactors using a single array of substance containers may be provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of chemical programs, building a plurality of records comprising each a chemical program. Thereby, each record includes a key and a data field, wherein the key is indicative of the reactants required for the respective chemical reaction, and wherein the data field includes the chemical program. The method further includes creating an ordered data structure of the data records based on the keys, selecting a next record from the ordered data structure, assigning the selected next record to selected ones of the array of chemical reactors, repeating the steps of selecting and assigning until, as a maximum, each chemical reactor has a defined record assigned to it, and executing the chemical programs according to their defined records in parallel.
RUNNING MULTIPLE EXPERIMENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY ON AN ARRAY OF CHEMICAL REACTORS
A method for executing multiple chemical experiments in parallel may be provided. The method comprises receiving a list of actions to be performed for synthesizing a chemical product. Thereby, the actions correspond to at least two chemical partial reactions and the list comprises a delimiter symbol separating two chemical partial reactions, determining identical chemical partial reactions, and building a reaction commonality tree (RCT) of the chemical reactions. Furthermore, the method comprises executing a plurality of the identical chemical partial reactions independent of a sequence of chemical partial reactions of the reaction commonality tree only once. Each of the identical chemical partial reactions is executed in a different chemical reactor and each resulting intermediate product has a quantity of the sum of the related identical chemical partial reactions. The method also comprises, storing the intermediate chemical products in a separate container, and executing remaining chemical partial reactions according to the RCT.
