IN SITU HEAT INDUCED ANTIGEN RECOVERY AND STAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus for spreading at least one reagent on at least a portion of a microscope slide includes a spreading device positionable in association with a microscope slide in a way that the spreading device defines a gap between the spreading device and the microscope slide and in a way that the spreading device and the microscope slide are movable relative to one another to spread at least one reagent on at least a portion of the microscope. The spreading device has a reservoir in which the at least one reagent is stored in a way that the at least one reagent is dischargeable from the reservoir onto the microscope slide when the spreading device is positioned in association with the microscope slide.
OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION APPARATUS AND OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION PROCESS
Provided in the present invention are an olefin polymerization apparatus and an olefin polymerization process. The following operations and effects can be realized by the apparatus or method provided in the present invention: the gas material discharged from the polymerization reactor is condensed, after the gas-liquid separation, the resulting gas portion is recycled to the reactor to form a circulation loop; the condensate can be selectively introduced to the polymerization reactor, in order to achieve the free switch between the homopolymerization reaction and the copolymerization reaction or between different copolymerization reactions, and at the same time the condensate can absorb the heat generated by the reaction. By using the apparatus and method provided in the present invention, polyolefin products having excellent mechanical properties and processability can be prepared as needed.
In situ heat induced antigen recovery and staining apparatus and method
An automated microscope slide staining system and staining apparatus and method that features a plurality of individually operable miniaturized pressurizable reaction compartments or a pressurizable common chamber for individually and independently processing a plurality of microscope slides. The apparatus preferably features independently movable slide support elements each having an individually operable heating element.
Urea and melamine production
The disclosure pertains to urea production with, in series, an MP carbamate condenser for condensing at least urea synthesis section off-gas, gas/liquid separation giving a gas stream and a liquid stream, and a second carbamate condenser receiving off-gas from melamine production and said liquid stream.
Pressure controller
A pressure controller for use in operating parallel reactors, the pressure controller including a reference pressure controller, the reference pressure controller including: a first restrictor channel, a second restrictor channel, a fluid passage, which fluid passage extends between the outlet of the first restrictor channel and the inlet of the second restrictor channel, a pressure control fluid source being adapted to provide a flow of pressure control fluid, having an entrance pressure at the inlet of the first restrictor channel and an exit pressure at the outlet of the second restrictor channel, the flow of pressure control fluid experiencing a first pressure drop 1 over the first restrictor channel and a second pressure drop 2 over the second restrictor channel, a connector connecting the fluid passage to the control chamber, the pressure control fluid at the connector having an intermediate pressure, the intermediate pressure being determined by the ratio between the first pressure drop 1 and the second pressure drop 2, a controllable thermal device, the thermal device being adapted to heat and/or cool the first restrictor channel and/or the second restrictor channel, therewith influencing the ratio between the first pressure drop 1 and the second pressure drop 2.
Method for handling product fluid flows
The present invention relates to a process for handling product fluid streams which are obtained in the catalytic hydrogenation of liquid feeds in laboratory catalysis apparatuses. The liquid feeds are preferably hydrocarbons comprising sulfur- and nitrogen-comprising compounds as impurities. The hydrogenation serves to convert the impurities into hydrogen sulfide and ammonia which in this form can be readily separated off from the other constituents of the liquid feed. The product fluid streams are contacted with an inert gas stream, with the flow rate of the inert gas being a multiple of the flow rate of the product fluid stream. The formation of deposits in lines of the region on the outlet side of the reaction space can be effectively prevented by means of the process of the invention.
PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIS OF UREA AND A RELATED ARRANGEMENT FOR A REACTION SECTION OF A UREA PLANT
A process for synthesis of urea and a related reaction section of a urea plant, where: ammonia and carbon dioxide are reacted in a liquid phase in a first reaction zone (S1) and heat (Q1) is withdrawn from said first reaction zone to promote the formation of ammonium carbamate, the liquid product (103) from said first reaction zone is then passed to a second reaction zone (S2) distinguished from said first reaction zone, and heat (Q2) is added to said second reaction zone to promote the decomposition of ammonium carbamate into urea and water, where the liquid phase in at least one of said first reaction zone and second reaction zone is kept in a stirred condition. A downflow reactor for carrying out the above process is also disclosed.
Printing liquid solution arrays for inorganic combinatorial libraries
This invention provides methods and systems to prepare replicate arrays from master arrays of liquid solutions. Replicate arrays of liquid solutions can be reacted to form product solid inorganic material arrays for analysis and selection of optimum processes and products with desirable properties.
IN SITU HEAT INDUCED ANTIGEN RECOVERY AND STAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A microscope slide staining system has a chamber, a plurality of slide support elements, a plurality of spreading devices positionable in association with microscope slides supported on the slide support elements so the spreading devices define a gap between the spreading device and the microscope slide and so the spreading device and the microscope slide are movable relative to one another to spread at least one reagent on the microscope slide independent of the other spreading devices and microscope slides.
Row-independent oligonucleotide synthesis
Apparatuses and a method for plate-based oligonucleotide synthesis are disclosed. In one example, an apparatus used in oligonucleotide synthesis includes a machined block to receive a commercially-available synthesis plate. A keeper is used to apply pressure to the commercially-available synthesis plate, and a sealing element is used to seal the commercially-available synthesis plate to the machined block.
