Eye animation device and method to show eye expression in 2D and 3D lighted displays
An illuminated display device with a base member representing an eye and having a primary cavity therein, usually existing as a pair of devices to represent two eyes. Thin walls within the primary cavity divide it into multiple chambers, wherein each chamber has a unique shape and volume that represents a view of a unique emotive response in an eye. Illumination devices are placed in each unique thin-walled chamber shape to emit light in a pattern from the chamber volume through a top opening of the cavity. Lighting all illumination devices equally imitates an open eye, while illuminating the volume of one or more unique chamber shapes at OFF or lesser brightness than the volume in other chambers creates a negative space, giving the illusion that the eye has changed shape to equal the shape in the brightly lit chambers only. The device can thus imitate the changing shapes in an eye shown when expressing emotion and the device is capable of exhibiting eight or more distinct emotive responses. A speaker can emit sounds in synchronization with a pattern of illumination to enhance the emotive effect. The unique chamber shapes and volumes in the primary cavity can be covered by translucent material that may be printed with a graphic representation of an eye.
DECORATIVE LIGHTS AND RELATED METHODS
A decorative light can include: a housing defining an interior space and having an open front; a cover mounted to the open front of the housing, the cover including a beam-splitter light lens shade and a substantially planar lens portion disposed around the beam-splitter light lens shade; a motor located in the interior space of the housing, the motor including an output shaft; a first light module located in the interior space and including first light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, where the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the first light units; a second light module located in the interior space and including second light units disposed about the output shaft of the motor, wherein the output shaft is rotatable with respect to the second light units; and a rotating lens module connected to the output shaft of the motor for rotation.
SYSTEM WITH DYNAMIC FEATURES
A modeling clay system with dynamic features. The dynamic features may include: moving, waving, and/or rotating appendages (e.g. arms or antennae), illuminated eyes, and a speaking module, and other types of movable, illuminating or sound playing items. The various dynamic features may be achieved through use of electronic modules configured to provide the desired function, that is, the electronic modules may be configured to perform one or more of move, illuminate, or provide audio. The modeling clay may be electrically conductive. During use, the electronic module may be inserted into the modeling clay such that the feature is powered and exhibits the respective function.
Toy with light emitting diode
A toy has one or more LED light sources positioned on the toy so the light source illuminates beyond the toy. A toy to be worn on the human finger comprises a body includes an anchoring portion for receiving or locating a finger or fingers. A LED or other light source is operated on the toy to interact with photo-luminescent ink and other inks pre-printed or included in a decoration on the surface of another item such as a book or other toy. The toy is a reading tool or a light source or an enhancement of other toys or writings. The LED light sources include a black light and/or other LED lights of other colors. The lights are connected to a circuit board and an integrated power source, which are connected to a switch encased on the toy.
Balloon toy
An interactive toy is shown and described. The toy can be in the shape of a balloon animal, such as a dog, and react in a predetermined manner to user input or stimulus. More specifically, the balloon animal responds and reacts to the user input provided to specific locations on the balloon animal and/or to placement of an object in proximity to or in contact with the balloon animal.
Assembly with toy character in housing
In an aspect, a toy character assembly is provided, and includes a housing, a toy character inside the housing and a breakout member that is operable to break the housing to expose the toy character. The housing is formed from a composition comprising 15-24 weight-% ethylene-vinyl acetate; 1-5 weight-% zinc stearate; and 75-84 weight-% calcium carbonate.
Toy figurine with light and sound effects
A toy figurine includes internal light and sound effects that are coordinated with the manipulation of a toy figurine joint. The toy figurine joint may be configured to perform an action when manipulated. The light and sound effects may be coordinated with the performance of that action. The light and sound effects may serve to enhance or embellish the performance of that action. The embellishment stimulates the senses and the imagination and otherwise enhances the play value of the toy figure.
Floating phantom illusion
A toy kit and components for a floating illusion is presented in which a manipulator releaseably engages via a coupling element with a composite structure. Preferred composite structures include first and second, sheet-like portions in which at least one portion has a face or head feature in registration with a coupling element.
