Microarray slide holders for loading multiple microarray slides into a microscope system are disclosed. An apparatus for simultaneous microengraving and imaging of microwell arrays is disclosed. Also disclosed is a liquid run-off tray for simultaneous processing of multiple microarray slides.

AUTOMATED HIGH VOLUME SLIDE PROCESSING SYSTEM

An automated system is provided for performing slide processing operations on slides bearing biological samples. In one embodiment, the disclosed system includes a slide tray holding a plurality of slides in a substantially horizontal position and a workstation that receives the slide tray. In a particular embodiment, a workstation delivers a reagent to slide surfaces without substantial transfer of reagent (and reagent borne contaminants such as dislodged cells) from one slide to another. A method for automated processing of slides also is provided.

Embodiments of the present application relate to patterned polymer sheets and processes to prepare the same for sequencing applications. In particular, flexible micro- and nano-patterned polymer sheets are prepared and used as a template surface in sequencing reaction and new polish-free methods of forming isolated hydrogel plugs in nanowells are described.

HEMATOLOGY TEST SLIDE

A hematology test slide has the same or similar dimensions as a chemical reagent test slide and an immunoassay test slide so that it may be used with these other slides on a single clinical instrument. The hematology slide includes, in order from top to bottom, a slide housing having a top housing member, a top cover slip, a U-shaped, transfer tape spacer, a bottom cover slip, a base gasket and a base plate. The U-shaped spacer has a curved end portion which defines a sample deposit area, where a blood sample is pipetted thereon, and a pair of straight, parallel, spaced apart legs extending from the curved end portion. The legs define a read area. A blood sample deposited on the hematology slide at the sample deposit area will flow by capillary action to the read area, where optical measurements are made on the sample.

WATER BATH DEVICE FOR TOMOGRAPHICALLY PLASTINATED SPECIMENS AND WATER BATH HARDENING METHOD THEREOF
20210387199 · 2021-12-16 ·

A water bath device for tomographically plastinated specimens and a water bath hardening method thereof comprises a water bath box, a control box, heating tubes, a water circulation assembly and positioning grids. The heating tubes are provided inside the water bath box. The water circulation assembly comprises a water circulation pipeline, a circulating water pump and a drain outlet. The two sides of the inner walls of the water bath box are provided with positioning grids opposite each other. After infiltration, a vertical embedding box is inserted between the positioning grids in the water bath box, and a tomographically plastinated specimen is hardened by water bathing. The equipment is simple and the temperature is easily controlled The excess heat can be quickly transferred to the water as well to ensure a stable temperature during the hardening process, which effectively avoids the occurrence of an explosive polymerization phenomenon.

Automated staining system and reaction chamber

An apparatus including a reagent cartridge and a reaction chamber, the reagent cartridge having a reagent capsule removably positioned therein for dispensing of a reagent onto the reaction chamber. A system including a linearly translatable mounting assembly having a plurality of mounting stations dimensioned to receive at least one fluid dispensing cartridge, a linearly translatable bulk reagent dispensing assembly having a plurality of bulk reagent dispensing nozzles coupled thereto and a receiving assembly positioned beneath the mounting assembly and the bulk reagent dispensing assembly, the receiving assembly including a plurality of reaction stations. A method including determining an inventory of an automated sample processing system, downloading a processing protocol from a central controller to the automated sample processing system, operating the automated sample processing system based on the processing protocol and independently of the central controller and dispensing a reagent from the automated sample processing system.

Slide identification sensor

An apparatus including a receptacle including a slot for receiving a basket; a push bar disposed in the receptacle, the push bar having an end to contact an edge of a single slide of a plurality of slides in a basket, the push bar including a first position below a bottom surface of a base of a basket that is received in the slot and a second position in the slot; and a sensor focused in a direction of the slot operable to acquire information from a slide in a received basket. A method including placing a slide basket into a slot of a receptacle; individually raising one or more slides from a respective position in the basket; using a sensor, acquiring information from the raised slide in the basket; and after acquiring information, lowering the raised slide.
