Hammermill system, hammer and method
11045813 · 2021-06-29 · ·

Various embodiments of a hammermill system, hammer, and methods are disclosed. A hammermill hammer comprises a metal composite comprising a plurality of inserts and a body portion disposed between each of the plurality of inserts. The composition of the plurality of inserts is different than composition of the body portion. The material of the plurality of inserts has a greater abrasion resistance than the material of the body portion and the material of the body portion has a greater impact resistance than the material of the inserts. The hammers produced have improved wear resistance and longer useful life compared to conventional hammermill hammers.

Methods for manufacturing improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described and include hammers of a lightweight and efficient design. The improved hammers can be arranged in clusters. The free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. Additionally, the hammer configurations of the present disclosure improve the overall efficiency of the hammermill during operation.

IMPACT CRUSHER
20210053068 · 2021-02-25 ·

An impact crusher for grinding and separating solid material has a base and a rotor on the base having an upright shaft defining an upright rotor axis about which the rotor is rotatable and a plurality of vertically spaced and radially horizontally outwardly extending plates each having an outer periphery. A drum fixed on the base spacedly surrounds the rotor. An array of axially extending and angularly substantially equispaced replaceable ribs is provided on an inner surface of the drum. A respective plurality of impact hammers are angularly substantially equispaced around the outer periphery of each of the disks. Respective mounting pivots support the hammers on the outer peripheries of the plates for pivoting about respective hammer axes parallel to the rotor axis so that rotation of the rotor grinds material between the hammers and the ribs. Formations between the mounting pivots and the respective disks enable radial adjustment and fixing of the hammer axes relative to the rotor axis.

An impact crusher for grinding and separating solid material has a base, a rotor on the base having an upright shaft defining an upright rotor axis about which the rotor is rotatable, and a drum fixed on the base, spacedly surrounding the rotor, and formed by a pair of generally semicylindrical drum shells fitted together at a plane including the rotor axis. An array of axially extending and angularly substantially equispaced replaceable ribs is provided on an inner surface of the drum. A plurality of impact hammers are angularly substantially equispaced around the rotor and orbitable past the ribs on rotation of the rotor.

Locking device for locking a hammer to a rotor in a horizontal shaft impact crusher

A locking device for a crusher rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher includes a locking-wedge having a first through bore, a screw element for driving the locking-wedge into a locking position between a rotor arm and the hammer element and for holding the locking-wedge in the locking position, thereby fixing the hammer element to the rotor disc, a locking nut for receiving the locking screw element, and a locking nut holder. The screw element is at least partly located in the first through bore and extends through the locking nut. The locking nut holder holds the locking nut in a manner that prevents the locking nut from rotating as the screw element is driven through the locking nut.

Vertical shaft impactor

A vertical shaft impactor includes an impacting assembly that is configurable in a number of different ways, depending on the material to be processed by the impactor. The vertical shaft impactor includes an impacting chamber and an impacting assembly disposed in the chamber. The impacting assembly includes a number of rotors supported on a shaft, with the locations of the rotors being adjustable along the shaft. The rotors include adjustable structures for working and reducing materials in the vertical shaft impactor.

Multi-blade hammer assembly
10792663 · 2020-10-06 · ·

A hammer assembly that will mount in a grinder/shredder/hammer mill type machine. A tool holder is milled with dovetail/angular slots along each side of the hammer tool holder, which allows milled blade to slide in to place and be securely held in position. The simple milled slot located in the middle of each blade that allows a single mounting block/bolt to securely hold each blade in position. This results in the ability to rotate and/or interchange blades. The tool holder allows single or multiple blade/hammer inserts to be installed without having to remove a hammer pin, so the tool holder stays in the machine, and the blades can be easily removed. This arrangement allows the tool holder to stay in place, and enables the simple removal of a single bolt and retention block and then flip or rotate the hammer to get additional wear surfaces or install new blades.

Rotor for a disintegration device
10786815 · 2020-09-29 · ·

A rotor for a device for disintegrating feed material, comprising a drive shaft, a plurality of rotor disks mounted on the drive shaft, and disintegration tools arranged in the region of the outer circumference of the rotor disks. A holding flange is provided for each rotor disk for connecting the rotor disk to the drive shaft, wherein the holding flange is permanently connected to the drive shaft and detachably connected to the rotor disk. Devices for disintegrating feed material, in particular impact hammer mills, may thus be operated with a rotor, in which the risk of a shaking out and a lateral wandering of the rotor disks is largely eliminated.

SHREDDER
20200269252 · 2020-08-27 ·

A shredder having a substantially tubular casing, which is closed upward by a cover and downward by a base. The shredder also includes a rotating shaft, which is internal and coaxial to the casing, with multiple supporting elements being keyed on the shaft, each element for supporting a number plurality of shredding elements.

The shredding elements have circular trajectories with a circumference that at least partially increases from the upper part toward the lower part of the shredder.
