A cutter wheel for use with a stump cutter having a drive assembly includes a drive plate having first and second sides and a perimeter. A cutter is attached to one of the sides, the cutter having a contact surface configured to engage the side. The cutter has a leading surface and a trailing surface, and a leading mounting hole defining a leading axis and a trailing mounting hole defining a trailing axis. A reference line passes through the leading axis and the trailing axis. A portion of the perimeter of the drive plate is in a zone defined by: a pair of radial lines extending from the leading axis at angles of 20 degrees and 40 degrees radially outward from the reference line, and a pair of arcs 0.25 in. radially outward and inward, respectively, from the leading surface.

Device for Separating Conglomerates that Consist of Materials of Different Densities
20200129986 · 2020-04-30 ·

A device for separating conglomerates that consist of materials of different densities is provided. The device has a rotor chamber in which a rotor shaft is mounted so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis, on which rotor shaft striking tools are arranged one beneath the other in at least two planes, which striking tools are set into rotational movement by the rotor shaft such that the conglomerates filled into the rotor chamber from above are captured and separated by the striking tools. The rotor chamber widens conically downward, and the outer radius of the striking tools increase from top to bottom, such that the spacing of the radially outer end edges of the striking tools from the chamber wall facing the striking tools is substantially the same in the individual planes during operation.

Device and grinding tool for comminuting feed material

A device and a plate-like grinding tool for grinding feed material that has a housing extending along an axis of rotation, in which a rotor rotationally driven about the rotation axis is arranged and includes a plurality of axially parallel grinding tools that are surrounded by a stator with stator tools. The effective edges of the grinding tools are arranged radially spaced from the stator tools by forming a grinding gap extending over an axial length of the grinding gap. The material is fed into the grinding gap on an inlet side and exits from the grinding gap on an outlet side. The axially extending effective edges of the grinding tools are divided in the axial direction into at least two first sections, each with a first radial distance from the rotational axis and into at least one second section with a second radial distance from the axis of rotation.

Multi-connector hammer

The various embodiments disclosed and pictured illustrate a multi-connector hammer for comminuting various materials. The illustrative embodiments pictured and described herein are primarily for use with a rotatable hammermill assembly. The multi-connector hammer includes a connection portion having a rod hole therein, a contact portion for delivery of energy to the material to be comminuted, and a multi-connector neck portion affixing the connection portion to the contact portion. In other embodiments, a shoulder is positioned around the periphery of the rod hole for added strength. In still other embodiments, a neck reinforcement is positioned along a portion of the neck for increased strength. A weld or plurality of welds may be affixed to various surfaces of the contact portion to aide in comminuting and/or longevity of the multi-connector hammer.

BI-METALLIC SWING HAMMERS
20200047186 · 2020-02-13 ·

A bi-metallic swing hammer for a particulate size reduction system includes a shank portion. The shank portion has a first end having a mounting portion for attachment to a wheel assembly of the particulate size reduction system, a second end defining a shank tip, and a face surface extending from the first end to the shank tip. The bi-metallic swing hammer includes a wear pad cast to the face surface of the shank portion. The wear pad extends from the shank tip to the first end of the shank portion up to the mounting portion. A method of constructing a bi-metallic swing hammer for a particulate size reduction system includes casting a wear pad and a shank portion together to bond the wear pad to the shank portion.

Delumper and method of delumping edible material

A delumper includes a housing defining a chamber in which edible material is received. The housing includes a screen having a plurality of holes and a plurality of inwardly extending fingers. The holes are sized such that edible material of a first diameter is capable of passing through the holes and edible material of a second, larger diameter is incapable of passing through the holes. The fingers are arranged in at least a first row, and the first row is located at or between a 5:00 position and a 7:30 position. The delumper further includes a rotatable shaft including a plurality of paddles spaced along a length of the shaft. When the shaft rotates, each of the paddles passes between adjacent fingers of the first row such that edible material located within the chamber is forced into contact with the fingers and cleaved by the paddles.

LOCKING DEVICE FOR LOCKING A HAMMER TO A ROTOR IN A HORIZONTAL SHAFT IMPACT CRUSHER

A locking device for a crusher rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher includes a locking-wedge having a first through bore, a screw element for driving the locking-wedge into a locking position between a rotor arm and the hammer element and for holding the locking-wedge in the locking position, thereby fixing the hammer element to the rotor disc, a locking nut for receiving the locking screw element, and a locking nut holder. The screw element is at least partly located in the first through bore and extends through the locking nut. The locking nut holder holds the locking nut in a manner that prevents the locking nut from rotating as the screw element is driven through the locking nut.

Non-forged hammermill hammer

Improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The configurations as disclosed and claimed are non-forged and incorporate a saddle or hammer mouth. The merging of a hammer and saddle improves strength to reduce or maintain the weight of the hammer while increasing the amount of force delivered to the material to be comminuted. The improved configurations incorporate comminution edges having increased hardness for longer operational run times. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. The improved configurations may incorporate hammermill rod hole of varying shapes and sizes and saddles of varying shapes and sizes or the use of non-planar hammer bodies that have a recessed or protruding surface.
