System and method for installing hammers
Improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The configurations as disclosed and claimed are non-forged and incorporate a saddle or hammer mouth. The merging of a hammer and saddle improves strength to reduce or maintain the weight of the hammer while increasing the amount of force delivered to the material to be comminuted. The improved configurations incorporate comminution edges having increased hardness for longer operational run times. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. The improved configurations may incorporate hammermill rod hole of varying shapes and sizes and saddles of varying shapes and sizes or the use of non-planar hammer bodies that have a recessed or protruding surface.
Hammer for shredding machines
Shredder hammers having first and second major surfaces on opposing sides, and a circumferential edge. A mounting portion includes a mounting hole that extends from the first major surface to the second major surface, and is configured to receive a hammer mounting pin for mounting in a reducing system. The circumferential edge includes a primary impact face to initially impact materials to be reduced and a wear edge to subsequently crush and shear the material against a wall of the equipment. The hammer is biased forward on the pin to admit more material to be crushed between the wear edge and the grates.
Engaging Tool
A system and method for an engaging tool. Removing debris, trees and clearing land and paths requires the use of specific tool and machinery. To grind, break and shred wood, the machines must be fitted with proper attachments and engaging tools. One tool includes a front a front face and a back face connected by two opposing side faces and an opposing top face and base face. The front face has a concave shape and an outer channel which extends inwardly into the front face. The front face also has a tube a tube extending outwardly from said front face. The tube is located within the outer channel.
Pulverizer systems and methods for pulverizing material
A pulverizer for reducing a size of input material particles having a housing, a rotatable shaft with rotor arms and at least one airflow deflector cooperating with the rotor arms to deflect airflow within the pulverizer so as to form at least two overlapping vortices within the interior chamber such that input material particles in suspension in both overlapping vortices collide with each other to be thereby pulverized. The pulverizer also having a housing liner including a plurality of housing liner portions attached to and extending along a outer structural wall of the housing. The pulverizer also having a housing sidewall having an outer structural wall with a plurality of wall sections. The pulverizer also having canted rotor arms and rotor arms with removable wear pads. An anti-caking device for a vessel such as a pulverizer is also provided.
A MATERIAL PROCESSING BARREL AND ASSOCIATED MATERIAL PROCESSING SYSTEM
A material processing system having a barrel also referred to hereinafter having a milling or impact surface and a central axis. The impact surface is impervious, in that material cannot pass through the surface, but rather is contained by the surface. An impact mechanism is located within barrel and is rotates about the central axis. The system has inlet openings and formed in the barrel at axially spaced locations along the axis. At least one outlet opening is formed in the barrel at a location intermediate of the inlets. The impact mechanism includes a plurality of hammers mounted on shaft which rotates about the axis.
VSI CRUSHER BEARING CARTRIDGE
A bearing cartridge and a retaining ring for a bearing cartridge arranged to support a rotatable main shaft of a vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher. The retaining ring is formed as a single piece ring positionable radially between a drum forming part of a mainframe of the VSI crusher and a region of the main shaft of the crusher.
Breaker liner attachment structure for vertical shredder
A breaker liner attachment structure for a vertical shredder including a rotor, a cylindrical shell, and a breaker, includes: a void that has an opening on an upper side and formed in an area between breaker liners in the breaker; and bolt insertion holes formed to extend from inner walls of the void to side surfaces of the breaker. Bolts are inserted into the bolt insertion holes via attachment holes formed in the breaker liners. The bolts are fastened with nuts from a side of the inner walls of the void.
Hammermill System, Hammer and Method
Various embodiments of a hammermill system, hammer, and methods are disclosed. A hammermill hammer comprises a metal composite comprising a plurality of inserts and a body portion disposed between each of the plurality of inserts. The composition of the plurality of inserts is different than composition of the body portion. The material of the plurality of inserts has a greater abrasion resistance than the material of the body portion and the material of the body portion has a greater impact resistance than the material of the inserts. The hammers produced have improved wear resistance and longer useful life compared to conventional hammermill hammers.
LOCKING DEVICE INCLUDING AN INSTALLATION HANDLE FOR LOCKING A HAMMER TO A ROTOR IN A HORIZONTAL SHAFT IMPACT CRUSHER
A locking device for a crusher rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher including at least one hammer element and at least one rotor disc having a plurality of rotor arms. The locking device includes a locking-wedge having a first engagement surface for engaging one of the rotor arms and a second engagement surface for engaging the hammer element. An installation handle of the locking devices is arranged to move the locking-wedge to a locking position where the first engagement surface engages the rotor arm and the second engagement surface engages the hammer element.
