Isolation tube with a rheological control member and a plunger
A separation container for extracting a portion of a sample for use or testing and method for preparing samples for downstream use or testing are provided. The separation container may include a body defining an internal chamber. The body may define an opening, and the body may be configured to receive the sample within the internal chamber. The separation container may further include a seal disposed across the opening, such that the seal may be configured to seal the opening of the body, and a plunger movably disposed at least partially inside the internal chamber. The plunger may be configured to be actuated to open the seal and express the portion of the sample.
CENTRIFUGE ROTOR AND CONTAINER ARRANGEMENT
A centrifuge rotor includes a rotor body having a base, a sidewall, and a top. The top defines an opening that provides access to an annulus cavity inside the rotor body. A cover is removably attachable to the rotor body to seal the annulus cavity. A drive hub extends from a portion of the base of the rotor body and couples to a drive shaft of a centrifuge motor. The rotor body is sized to receive one or more sample containers in the annulus cavity, and to constrain the one or more sample containers inside the annulus cavity between the base, the sidewall, and the top when the one or more containers are advanced radially against the sidewall.

BUCKET INSERT FOR USE IN A CENTRIFUGE
A bucket insert for use in a centrifuge is disclosed. The bucket insert comprises an insert body, the insert body comprising a plurality of elongated receptacles for receiving elongated sample vessels. The bucket insert is configured for orienting the elongated sample vessels in a tilted orientation. In the tilted orientation, at least some of the elongated sample vessels are oriented in a non-parallel fashion.

Centrifuge Rotor, Holding Crown And Holding Crown Arrangement Therefor, And Centrifuge
The present invention relates to a centrifuge rotor with a rotor body and a receptacle arranged centrally therein for receiving a drive head of a drive shaft of a centrifuge which can be rotated about an axis of rotation (R), and sample receptacles for accommodating a plurality of sample containers. A holding crown is arranged on a top side (O) of the rotor body facing away from an insertion side (E) of the drive head, said holding crown having an annular base body, which encloses a central opening, and prongs extending upward away from the top side (O), wherein the holding crown is arranged in such a way that the axis of rotation (R) runs through the central opening. The present invention further relates to a holding crown for use with a centrifuge rotor and having an annular base body enclosing a central opening and prongs emanating from the base body and extending upward, wherein the prongs are offset at least in the region of their free ends by a spacing (A) from an inner edge of the base body. The present invention further relates to a holding crown arrangement comprising the holding crown, and a centrifuge comprising the centrifuge rotor, the holding crown or the holding crown arrangement.
Composite liquid bag system holder
Embodiments of a system box for holding a bag system and methods for separating composite liquids are described. In embodiments, a bag system may be a blood bag system used to collect blood, separate the blood into components, store the components, and utilize the components in patients. The system box may hold the blood bag system. Processes can then be performed to separate components from the blood.
Expressors and Expressor Systems for Separating Components of a Biological Suspension and Methods of Use
An expressor includes a base and a first platen extending from the base. A second platen is movably mounted to the base so that the second platen can move between a collapsed position where the second platen is moved toward the first platen and a retracted position where the second platen is moved away from the first platen. At least a portion of the second platen is spaced apart from the first platen by a gap spacing when the second platen is in the collapsed position. Either the first platen or the second platen is releasably attached to the base so that a width of the gap spacing when the second platen is in the collapsed position can be selectively adjusted.
Syringe Holder
A syringe holder for holding a syringe in a centrifuge, the syringe having a plunger-end and a nipple-end, the syringe holder holding the syringe nipple-end upwardly, comprising: a cup having a cup seat, a wall, a bore, a mouth, and a support, the support supporting the cup in the centrifuge; a lower support having a upper surface and a lower surface, the lower support sized to slide into the cup and the lower support supporting the plunger-end of the syringe; an upper support having lower section and an upper section with a lip, and having a channel therethrough, the lip having a outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of the mouth of the cup, the channel therethrough co-axial with the lower support and the bore of the cup, the lower section having an outer diameter that is less than the inner diameter of the bore of the of the cup and sized to permit the upper support to slide at least partially into the cup and the lip to contact the mouth of the cup and support the upper support in the cup; whereby the upper support and the lower support support the syringe with the needle-end upwardly in the cup during centrifuging.
Bucket for swinging rotor of centrifugal separator
There can be provided a bucket for a swinging rotor of a centrifugal separator that can be readily carried while ensuring the sealability at the time of a centrifugal treatment or the carriage operation. The bucket includes a bucket body (11) in a bottomed cylindrical shape, a cover main body (21) (cover), a packing (22) (seal member), and a pair of attachment mechanisms (34) configured to detachably attach the cover main body (21) to the bucket body (11).
