CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR
A centrifugal separator for separation of a cell culture mixture includes a stationary frame, a rotatable assembly and a drive unit for rotating the rotatable assembly relative the frame around a vertical axis of rotation. The rotatable assembly includes a rotor casing enclosing a separation space in which a stack of separation discs is arranged to rotate around an axis of rotation. The rotor casing includes a mechanically hermetically sealed inlet and first and second mechanically hermetically sealed liquid outlets. The second mechanically hermetically sealed outlet is arranged at an axial end of the rotor casing opposite and arranged so that a separated cell phase is discharged at the rotational axis. The rotatable assembly includes an exchangeable separation insert and a rotatable member.
CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A centrifugal separation system includes a centrifugal separator, a liquid feed mixture conduit, a light phase conduit, a heavy phase conduit, and a flow control system. The flow control system includes a controller, a flow control valve arranged in a light phase conduit, a liquid feed mixture measuring device, and at a light phase measuring device and/or a heavy phase measuring device. The controller is configured to control the flow control valve based on measurements from the liquid feed mixture measuring device and measurements from the light phase measuring device and/or the heavy phase measuring device.

SEPARATING MILK
A method is provided for separating milk at least into a milk phase and a cream phase, including supplying the milk to an inlet of a centrifugal separator that comprises a stack of discs that has a first sub-stack that includes microorganism clarification discs, and a second sub-stack that includes milk-fat separation discs. The flow of milk is distributed through and over the first and second sub-stacks, which have through openings that are aligned with each other, such that at least one common distribution channel is formed through the first and second sub-stacks. A centrifugal separator is also provided.

EXCHANGEABLE SEPARATION INSERT AND MODULAR CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR
An exchangeable separation insert and a modular centrifugal separator are disclosed. The insert includes a rotatable rotor casing and a first stationary portion. The rotor casing delimits a separation space and includes frustoconical separation discs. The first stationary portion is biased in a first direction away from the rotor casing along an axial direction.
SEPARATOR INSERT, SEPARATOR AND METHOD FOR EXCHANGING A SEPARATOR INSERT
A separator includes a frame and a separator insert exchangeably disposed on the frame. The separator insert is designed to separate a flowable suspension into at least two flowable phases of different density in a centrifugal field and forms a preassembled, exchangeable unit for inserting into stator units on the frame of the separator. Mutually spaced holders having stator units of the bearing devices are formed on the frame, between which holders the housing of the separator insert is non-rotatably retained such that the rotor with the drum remains rotatable. The relative position of the holders can be changed such that the separator insert can be exchanged. The housing and the holders have corresponding interlocking elements in order to non-rotatably retain the housing at the holders.
