A disc stack separator and an accelerator disc for a disc stack separator, especially a centrifugal nozzle separator, has curved blades mounted on a cone-shaped shell. The blade configuration assists in directing flow to space for the nozzles in the centrifugal separator bowl in an optimal manner, thus reducing the power consumption of the separator.

A centrifuge rotor for a centrifugal separator for separation of a relatively heavy phase of a fluid from a relatively light phase of the fluid is disclosed. The centrifuge rotor includes a stack of conical disks, and has a central axis of rotation. Each conical disk has an outward surface and an inward surface. The stack of conical disks includes a plurality of interspaces between adjacent conical disks. The interspaces include first interspaces for separation of the relatively heavy phase from the relatively light phase, and second interspaces. A check valve device is provided in each second interspace for closing the second interspace in an inward direction towards the central axis, and permitting opening of the second interspace in an outward direction. The separating disc further includes a plurality of distance members, wherein each distance member is formed by a pressed marks extending radially. The separating disc is provided with a guiding arrangement including a number of index positions for providing indexing of the separating disc in the disc package in a rotational position. The number of index positions is different than the number of the plurality of distance members.

A centrifuge separator device for use in mining gold ore receives bulk quantities of gold bearing materials through a port in a central vertical pipe, diverting the materials through a series of rotating baffles into a multi-tiered bowl, with a variable speed bowl drive system turning the bowl and the baffles at a selected speed while framework, including a channeled bin, gussets and a plurality of blades extending a plurality of upper and lower cutters, remains stationary, forcing the materials to separate by density, forcing the lighter materials up and over the rotating bowl into a channeled bin for further disposal through an exit port in the channeled bin, leaving the heavier gold bearing ores in the lower part of the bowl for collection and further classification.

A centrifugal filter assembly useful to remove lubricant from a mixed flow exiting a breather of a lubricated compressor. The centrifugal filter assembly can include a stack of filter discs disposed in a housing. The housing can have a threaded opening to be fastened to the breather. A center support including a central shaft and arms are used to mount the discs. The discs can include flow guide and gap setting features. Mixed air can enter an inner hub of the filter stack and then progress in the space between filter discs until exiting the stack at a radially outer location. The mixed air can be received into the inner hub after first passing through a bearing used to support the center support, but other routes into the inner hub are also contemplated.
