Coating device and method for metal-coating of workpieces
The invention relates to a coating device and to a method for metal-coating of workpieces, comprising a housing, which surrounds a working space, a retaining apparatus for retaining at least one workpiece in the working space, at least one deposition apparatus comprising a deposition nozzle for applying a metal powder to the workpiece surface to be coated, and a laser for locally melting the metal powder on the workpiece surface to form a coating, and at least one movement apparatus, by means of which the at least one deposition apparatus can be moved relative to the workpiece surface during the coating. Particularly efficient coating is made possible by at least two deposition apparatuses being arranged in the working space in the housing, which apparatuses are designed to simultaneously apply and melt metal powder.
A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A BONE ATTACHMENT COATING
A method and apparatus for applying a bone attachment coating to a prosthetic component, the bone attachment coating being formed from a plurality of particles applied to a surface of the prosthetic component. The method comprising: locally exciting the particles so as to increase the kinetic and/or thermal energy of the particles; and applying pressure to the particles by virtue of a press arranged so as to press the particles against the surface of the prosthetic component at an interface between the press and the prosthetic component. The kinetic and/or thermal energy of the particles causes localised heating of the component such that the particles may be embedded into the surface of the prosthetic component.
WELDING DEVICE, WELDING METHOD, AND TURBINE BLADE
A welding device including a cylindrical powder nozzle (201) that supplies a powder gas containing a powder welding material toward a laser beam irradiation position of a base material and a cylindrical shield nozzle (202) that is arranged coaxially so as to cover an outer peripheral surface of the powder nozzle (201) and supplies a shielding gas for isolating the laser beam irradiation position, in which an outer peripheral surface (201b) in the vicinity of a distal end portion (201a) of the powder nozzle (201) has a shape whose outer diameter gradually decreases toward a distal end portion (201a) of the powder nozzle (201) and has an arc-shaped section on a section passing through a center axis (A) of the powder nozzle (201) is provided.
LASER ASSISTED COLD SPRAY REPAIR DEVICE AND PROCESS METHOD FOR AVIATION-GRADE ALUMINUM ALLOY STRUCTURAL PARTS
Disclosed are a laser assisted cold spray repair device and process method for aviation-grade aluminum alloy structural parts. In the present disclosure, a laser device, a high-pressure gas source, a powder feeder, a water cooling system, a reflector, an integrated spray gun, a mobile platform, an air pipe, a powder-gas mixed channel, a lower-pressure powder-gas powder feeding port, an air pressure regulating valve, a high-pressure airflow heater and a powder pipe are included. The powder spray gun and a heating laser source are connected coaxially, and a processing zone of the mobile platform is provided with a specimen to be processed. In the present disclosure, fatigue properties of repaired aviation-grade aluminum alloy specimens are restored to an original state before damage and satisfy service requirements.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A LAYER
A process for producing a layer or a body built up of layers. A process gas which has a pressure of >10 bar is accelerated in a convergent-divergent nozzle and a coating material which is formed by particles and is composed of Mo, W, an Mo-based alloy or a W-based alloy is injected into the process gas. The particles are at least partly present as aggregates and/or agglomerates. It is possible to produce dense layers and components in this way. We also describe layers and components having a microstructure with cold-deformed grains having a high aspect ratio.
APPARATUS FOR WORKPIECE PROCESSING HAVING INTEGRATED ENERGY GUIDE AND MEDIA STORAGE AND RELATED SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes a machine tool having a clamp. The system also includes a processing head configured to be temporarily held by the clamp of the machine tool. The processing head is also configured to deposit one or more media onto a workpiece. The processing head includes a guide configured to direct energy from an energy source onto the workpiece and/or the one or more media. The processing head also includes one or more supplies including one or more reservoirs within the processing head. The one or more reservoirs are configured to receive the one or more media, store the one or more media as the processing head is moved from one location to another location, and provide the one or more media.
COLD SPRAY APPARATUS WITH LARGE AREA CONFORMAL DEPOSITION ABILITY
A cold spray apparatus for applying a coating of particles to a substrate includes a nozzle assembly having a plurality of inner passages terminating at a common exit. The nozzle assembly includes a particle supply members in communication with the inner passages. The particle supply members supply the particles to flow and accelerate through the inner passages and out of the nozzle assembly via the common exit toward the substrate to be coated thereon. Furthermore, each inner passage includes a laser that emits a laser beam that is transmitted through the inner passage. The laser heats at least one of the particles and the substrate to promote coating of the substrate with the particles.
