Head-mounted displays and attachments that enable interactive sensory experiences
Introduced herein are techniques for producing sensory stimuli that increase the realism of content experienced by a user. Several embodiments pertain to scent delivery system that are able to dispense scented material(s) to the user. A scent delivery system could be a self-contained unit that is attachable to a head-mounted display (HMD) or could be integrated into the HMD itself. The scent delivery system can be used to improve the realism of content (e.g., visual content and audio content) presented to the user. More specifically, the scent delivery system can be configured to dispense one or more scented materials in response to determining a particular scene is being shown. Different scented materials can be dispensed based on characteristics of the content. In some embodiments, the scented material(s) are held in capsules that are housed within the scent delivery system. The capsules may be readily replaceable by the user.
HEATED SPRAY SYSTEM
A method of heating spray components with a spray proportioner unit may include flowing a spray component from a hopper through a preheater and heated hose. The spray component may be received at a receiving end of the heated hose at a first temperature and exit the heated hose at a delivery end at a second temperature. The spray component may be flowed through the heated hose at an operating pressure up to 2000 psi and at a rate up to 12 lb/minute. The second temperature may be at least 30 F., such as between 40 F. and 60 F., greater than the first temperature.
Spray system pump wash sequence
A method for a system having a plurality of primary fluid sources and a fluid output with a common pump includes halting pumping of a first fluid, isolating the common pump from the fluid output and the primary fluid sources, connecting an inlet of the common pump to a solvent source and an outlet of the common pump to a waste fluid dump, actuating the common pump first in a pumping mode, then in a recirculation mode, and then in a flush mode, connecting an inlet of the common pump to a second primary fluid source, and an outlet of the common pump to the output line, and starting pumping mode pumping of a second fluid from the second primary fluid source through the output line.
Thermal spraying system
A thermal spraying system includes a fixing device and a thermal spraying apparatus that are relatively movable. The thermal spraying apparatus includes a hollow pipe, an extrusion die, a transporting device, a helical pipe, a fluid supplying device, and a heater. The hollow pipe defines an accommodating space. The extrusion die is connected with the hollow pipe. The extrusion die has a nozzle. The nozzle is in spatial communication with the accommodating space. The transporting device is used for moving a raw material to pass through the nozzle. The hollow pipe is surrounded by the helical pipe. An end of the helical pipe is connected to the nozzle. The fluid supplying device is connected to another end of the helical pipe. The heater encloses the helical pipe and the hollow pipe for heating the helical pipe and the accommodating space.
Spray mixer for mixing and spraying at least two flowable components
The invention relates to a spray mixer for mixing and spraying at least two flowable components. The spray mixer (22) is provided with a tubular outer mixer housing (23) which extends in the direction of a mixer longitudinal axis (24) from a mixer start (25) to a distal mixer end (26). A mixer inner housing (29) which accommodates a mixer element (33) is arranged in the mixer outer housing (23). A mixer compressed air inlet (31) is arranged at the mixer start (25). The mixer compressed air inlet (31) is connected by means of a mixer compressed air channel (30) to an annular mixer compressed air outlet (32) which encloses a mixer outlet opening (35). In the operation of the spray mixer (22), compressed air is supplied via the mixer compressed air inlet (31), flows through the mixer compressed air channel (30) to the mixer compressed air outlet (32) and atomizes and sprays the material emerging from the mixer outlet opening (35). In order for the spray mixer to be easy to handle, the mixer outer housing (23), the mixer inner housing (29) and the mixer element (33) are combined in a single unit. This is achieved by connecting the indicated components to each other in a manner to secure against loss.
SYSTEMS, COMPONENTS, AND METHODS FOR LOW PRESSURE DELIVERY OF PLURAL COMPONENT SYSTEMS SUCH AS POLYURETHANE FOAMS FROM UNPRESSURIZED SUPPLY SOURCES
Various examples are provided related to low pressure delivery, e.g., less than 250 psi at the point of application, of plural component system from unpressurized parts A and B material supplies. In one example, a system includes a polyurethane spray foam (SPF) raw material supply including parts A and B and a fluid handling system that can deliver the SPF raw material at low pressure to a metal spray gun in metered amounts through separate material fluid paths/conduits via a heated hose length and a whip hose. The fluid handling system can also deliver air at low pressure to the spray gun through separate air stream paths so that the air is communicated to the part A and B material conduits forward of the part A and B material input locations, where they are supplied separately to a mixing nozzle that is engaged at an end of the spray gun.
SPRAY AGENT FOR SKIN OR HAIR, COSMETIC TREATMENT METHOD, AND SPRAY DEVICE
A cosmetic treatment method includes: spraying, toward skin or hair: an atomized medicinal agent in which a medicinal agent containing a predetermined active ingredient is atomized; and fine water that is uncharged and has a particle size of less than or equal to 50 nanometers. Therefore, the sprayed fine water enters the skin or hair to contribute to maintenance of moisturization, and at the same time, forms a route through which the active ingredient permeates, thereby promoting the permeation of the active ingredient; therefore, the permeability of the active ingredient can be more appropriately improved.
HOSE FOR USE IN SPRAY MIXING PLURAL COMPONENTS
A plural component mixing system includes an automatic balance feature to balance the pressure of two or more components as they are mixed. The pressures or flow rates of the two components are monitored. If there is a difference in pressure or flow rate greater than a specified amount, a bleed valve is opened for a short period of time to balance the flows. A computer with a touch screen is used to set the pressure and flow rate differences that trigger the bleed, and to set the time period for the bleed.
Systems for applying roadway surface treatments, and methods of using same
Systems and methods for applying roadway surface treatments. The system has an aggregate application assembly and a resin application assembly that are mounted or otherwise secured to a truck or other vehicle. The resin application assembly is spaced from the aggregate application assembly in the direction of travel of the vehicle. As the vehicle moves along a roadway surface, the resin and aggregate can be continuously applied such that the aggregate is provided to portions of the roadway surface that have been covered with resin.
Two Component Airless Adhesive Spray Gun and Method of Use
A two part airless adhesive spray system is provided herein. This system provides numerous enhancements to the prior art including limiting overspray fog, saving on sprayed material because of a more efficient spray pattern, and providing a stronger bond than that of the air-atomized spray guns of the prior art.
