Spraying system, methods of making and using the same, and computer-readable medium for controlling the same

A sprayer system including a wand, a rotary arm, a motor, a housing, a support, and a controller or control panel. The wand has a nozzle at one end. The rotary arm rotates around a first axle, and is connected at a distal end through a bearing to an opposite end of the wand. The housing covers or encloses a part of the wand, the rotary arm, and a rotatable ring through which the wand passes. The motor drives rotation of the rotary arm. The support mechanically supports the housing. The controller/control panel controls rotation of the rotary arm. The wand, the rotary arm and the ring are configured so that rotation of the rotary arm causes the nozzle to move in a circular, elliptical and/or oval pattern. Methods of making and using the sprayer system and software for controlling the system are also disclosed.

A slit opening of a slit nozzle extends unidirectionally in a longitudinal direction from near the center of a circular substrate to near an outer edge of the substrate, and has a length in the longitudinal direction equal to or smaller than a radius of the substrate. When the slit nozzle discharges chemical onto the substrate, a rotary holder rotates the substrate and the slit nozzle relatively to each other about the center of the substrate. Accordingly, the chemical from the slit nozzle all adheres to a surface of the substrate to form an excellent liquid column and a chemical film on an almost entire surface of the substrate along the outer edge of the circular substrate. This yields satisfactory coating of the substrate with the chemical while waste chemical is suppressed.

DESCALING DEVICE

A descaling device having a device housing, a shaft, a shaft bearing, a nozzle head and a medium coupling, wherein the shaft bearing is arranged in the device housing and the shaft is mounted in the device housing by the shaft bearing for carrying out a rotary movement, wherein the shaft and the nozzle head are detachably connected to one another in a non-destructive manner, wherein the medium coupling has a medium connection for supply of a medium, wherein the shaft has a shaft cavity for conducting the medium supplied at the medium connection to the nozzle head. The descaling device has an improved maintainability and reliability due to the descaling device having a motor, and due to the motor being arranged on the shaft in the device housing between the nozzle head and the medium coupling in order to generate the rotary movement of the shaft.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DESCALING A WORKPIECE IN MOTION

The invention relates to a device and a method for descaling a workpiece, which is in motion in relation to the device in a movement direction (X). The device (10) comprises a rotor head (14), which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (R), which is inclined diagonally at an angle () with respect to an orthogonal on a surface (20) of the workpiece (12). Furthermore, the device comprises multiple jet nozzles (16), which are attached on the rotor head (14), wherein a liquid (18), in particular water, is dispensable onto the workpiece (12) at an angle of attack () inclined to the surface (20) of the workpiece (12) from the jet nozzles (16). The jet nozzles (16) are fixedly attached on the rotor head (14) such that during rotation of the rotor head (14) about its axis of rotation (R), the spraying direction (S) of the liquid (18) dispensed from the jet nozzles (16), with respect to a projection in a plane parallel to the surface (20) of the workpiece (12), is aligned opposing, i.e., at a spraying angle () of approximately 180, the movement direction (X) of the workpiece (12).
