A tow prepreg manufacturing apparatus applies resin to an original tow of reinforcing fibers. The tow prepreg manufacturing apparatus includes an oiling roller, a scraper, a resin reservoir, a tube pump, and a controller. The oiling roller is supplied with resin while rotating at a predetermined rotation speed. The scraper adjusts the shape of the resin supplied onto the oiling roller. The resin reservoir supplies resin to the oiling roller. The tube pump discharges resin to the resin reservoir. The controller controls the tube pump so that the amount of resin held in the resin reservoir remains constant and controls the rotation speed of the oiling roller so that a resin content of a wound tow prepreg becomes equal to a target resin content.
Ultra large-width and consecutive coating device and method for manufacturing membrane using the same
Provided is an ultra large-width coating device applied to a consecutive process. More particularly, the present invention relates to a coating device capable of maximizing productivity by consecutively manufacturing a large-width film without reducing physical properties of the manufactured film by overcoming a problem in that a coating width is limited during a coating process using the existing contact type coating roller, and a method for manufacturing an ultra large-width membrane using the same.

A device (4) for applying a viscous liquid, in particular an MFC dispersion, onto a moving substrate (52) comprises an inlet (72, 73a-73f) for the viscous liquid, a casting chamber (61a, 61b), a lower portion of which being open to the substrate (52), and a metering portion (69, 661), for limiting a thickness of a wet film that is formed on the substrate downstream of the device. The device further comprises a shear section (42) arranged inside the casting chamber (61a, 61b). The shear section (42) comprises a fluidization rod (68), arranged in the casting chamber (61a, 61b), for providing shearing of the viscous liquid inside the casting chamber (61a, 61b).
PAPER, LABELS MADE THEREFROM AND METHODS OF MAKING PAPER AND LABELS
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
Coating method and coating device
A coating method has a reciprocating rotating step. A wire bar is rotated at a first rotational speed for coating a film on a web. In a process of rotating the wire bar at the first rotational speed, a tangential direction of the wire bar at a connecting area between the wire bar and the web is opposite to a moving direction of the web, and then the wire bar is rotated to restore to an original position at a second rotational speed. Meanwhile, the tangential direction is changed and is same to the moving direction of the web. The second rotational speed is far faster than the first rotational speed. A coating device has a base, the wire bar disposed across the base, and a rotation adjusting module connected to the wire bar for driving the wire bar to rotate reciprocatingly.

A film is uniformly coated with a coating solution. The following formula is satisfied:

Powder feeding apparatuses (100; 200) and methods. The powder feeding apparatus (100; 200) can include first and second cylindrical rollers (106, 107; 206, 207) adjacent to each other and spaced apart by a gap (108; 208). The first roller (106; 206) can rotate intermittently and independently of the second roller (107; 207). The second roller can rotate intermittently and independently of the first roller. Powder from a hopper (102; 202) is fed through the gap as one or both rollers rotate. The powder feeding method may include a method of feeding powder by intermittently and alternately advancing a first and second roller to dispense powder from the hopper.
COATING DEVICE AND COATING METHOD
Provided are a coating device and a coating method which suppress the occurrence of exhaustion of a coating liquid. A coating device which applies a coating liquid to an upper surface or a lateral surface of a long substrate continuously traveling in a specific traveling direction has: a bar which is capable of being brought into contact with the upper surface or the lateral surface of the long substrate continuously traveling in the specific traveling direction via the coating liquid, and is rotated; and at least two stages of dam plates which are provided on the upstream side in the traveling direction of the long substrate with respect to the bar, and allow the coating liquid to flow to the long substrate via a space between the dam plate and the bar. The at least two stages of dam plates are arranged along the traveling direction.
PRELUBRICATED STOCK SHEET AND METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAKING THE SAME
A pre-lubricated stock sheet and a method and system for making the same are described. The pre-lubricated stock is generally in a coil wound form. The stock sheet can have opposing first and second sheet surfaces joined together by opposing side edges and opposing ends. Typically, the first and second sheet surfaces are substantially smooth and planar, wherein the sheet has 3 mg/foot.sup.2/side to about 200 mg/foot.sup.2/side of a solid lubricant having a melting temperature from about 80 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Moreover, the opposing side edges usually are substantially free of the solid lubricant. In some configurations, the stock sheet is an aluminum stock sheet, more particularly an aluminum can stock sheet. Furthermore, the lubricant can be in some configurations a food grade lubricant, that is qualifies a low volatile organic compound under one or more of municipal, state and federal governing authorities.
