NOZZLE AND APPLICATOR SYSTEM COMPRISING THE SAME
An applicator system for applying a material to a substrate is disclosed, the applicator system having a nozzle assembly (28) that includes a nozzle having a nozzle head (108). The nozzle assembly (28) also includes a baffle plate (101) including a cutout (144) that extends through the baffle plate (101), where the baffle plate (101) is received by the nozzle head (108) such that the nozzle head (108) and the baffle plate (101) define a cavity. The nozzle assembly (28) further includes a cover plate (102) attached to the nozzle head (108) such that the cover plate (102) secures the baffle plate (101) within the nozzle head (128), where an outlet passage is defined between the baffle plate (101) and the cover plate (102), the outlet passage being fluidly connected to the cavity through the cutout (144) of the baffle plate (101).

The present invention relates to a slot die coating apparatus. A slot die coating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a slot die configured to perform a coating process by applying ink to a substrate; an image capturing unit disposed adjacent to the slot die and configured to capture a state of the slot die and a state of ink applied to the substrate during the coating process; and a control unit configured to compare an image captured by the image capturing unit with a reference image and control an operation of the slot die and a transfer of the substrate.
Applicator with diverter plate
An applicator for dispensing multiple adhesives on a substrate is disclosed. The applicator includes a manifold that includes a first dispensing module and a second dispensing module. The first dispensing module has a first inlet and a first nozzle. The first inlet receives a first adhesive and the first nozzle applies the first adhesive to the substrate. The second dispensing module is adjacent the first dispensing module and has a second inlet and a second nozzle. The second inlet receives a second adhesive that is different from the first adhesive. The second nozzle applies the second adhesive to the substrate.
APPLICATION NOZZLE
An application nozzle for applying viscous material to a workpiece includes a nozzle body which has a material inlet opening and material outlet openings which are arranged in at least one row in a material outlet face. An inlet channel extends in the nozzle body from the material inlet opening to at least one branch point. At each branch point, two distributor channels extend in the nozzle body in opposite directions from the inlet channel, wherein the distributor channels are each arranged over their entire length at a distance from the material outlet face, and at least one outlet channel extends in the nozzle body from each of the distributor channels in each case to one of the material outlet openings.
COATING DEVICE
A coating device comprises a die with a slit that is longer in a width direction and discharges a coating liquid to form a coating film on a substrate, a first flow path that supplies the coating liquid toward the die, a first manifold that is linked to the first flow path and holds the coating liquid that flows in from the first flow path, a plurality of second flow paths that are linked to the first manifold, a second manifold that is linked to the second flow paths and the slit, is longer in the width direction, and holds the coating liquid that flows in from the second flow paths, and an adjustment unit that is provided along at least one of the second flow paths and adjusts a flow of the coating liquid flowing through the at least one of the second flow paths.

COATING DEVICE AND COATING METHOD
A coating device has: a die head that is provided with a supply port into which a coating slurry is supplied, a manifold that stores the coating slurry, and a slit that dispenses the coating slurry; a supply pipe that is connected to the supply port of the die head; and a cover plate that is provided in the supply port or the supply pipe and that reduces the flow rate of the coating slurry at the center of a cross-section that is orthogonal to the direction in which the coating slurry in the supply port or the supply pipe flows into the die head.

The invention relates to a method and to a module (I) for applying a viscous medium (19), in particular an adhesive or lacquer, to a surface (16) wherein the module (I) comprises a reservoir (2) that can be fed with the viscous medium (19), wherein the outer surface (4) of the module (I) comprises an outlet region (5) for the viscous medium (19), wherein the module (I) comprises at least one nozzle channel (6) which fluidly connects the reservoir (2) to the outlet region (5), wherein a smallest diameter (dmin) of the at least one nozzle channel (6) is smaller than 0.8 mm and wherein the module (I) does not comprise any movable parts for closing the at least one nozzle channel (6).
Method, device and apparatus for dispensing polyurethane mixtures
A method is disclosed for dispensing a polyurethane mixture onto a substrate by generating a liquid mixture from reactive component resins; introducing the mixture in an inlet section of a dispensing device so as to advance it towards a planar-shaped outlet slit section, transversely to the advancement direction of the substrate; distributing the mixture along a gap chamber having a cross section diverging towards the outlet slit section; and dispensing the mixture through the outlet slit section, so as to deposit a thin, uniform film onto the substrate. Fractions of the mixture travel equal distances from the inlet section to the outlet slit section, in equal times, maintaining equal average speeds along each section having zones placed all at the same path distance either from the inlet section or from the outlet slit section.
