Curved substrate with film, method for producing the same, and image display device
A curved substrate with a film includes a substrate having a first main surface, a second main surface and an end surface, and an antiglare film provided on the first main surface. The substrate has a flat portion and a bent portion. A value obtained by dividing a reflected-image diffusibility index value R of the bent portion by the sum of the reflected-image diffusibility index value R of the bent portion and a reflected-image diffusibility index value R of the flat portion is 0.3 or higher and 0.8 or less.
GRAPHENE NANOPLATELET MODIFIED SHEET MOLDING COMPOSITIONS
A sheet molding compound (SMC) is provided with superior conductivity properties based on the use of graphitics. A process for exfoliation of GnP and turbostratic carbon is also provided. By exfoliating the graphitics, a reduced amount of material can confer comparable properties relative to native GnPs or turbostratic carbon thereby reducing the amount of material usage, but also reducing negative effects to the base resin formulation through inclusion of these additives. Particular utility is found in thermoset resin molding to produce articles that are amenable to electrostatic coating and other surface treatments that rely on surface conductivity and especially in the realm of vehicle body parts.
Method of painting a plastic work piece using an electrostatically isolated mask
A method for painting a work piece of plastic material. The method includes applying a first coating of an electrically conductive material to the work piece and electrically grounding the first coating. The method also includes electrostatically charging a paint to render the paint conductive for statically attracting the conductive paint toward the grounded first coating of the work piece. The method also includes overlying a mask of a non-conductive material over at least a portion of the first coating of the work piece and electrically insulating the mask. The work piece is then sprayed with the conductive paint to apply a layer of paint on the first coating with the mask preventing the conductive paint from being applied on the portions of the first coating of the work piece that are covered by the mask.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING UV PROTECTIVE COATING
Provided is a coating having a uniform and strong UV protective effect over the entire skin.
A method for producing a UV protective coating on skin comprising a step of applying a composition comprising a UV protective agent to the skin, and a step of electrostatically spraying a composition comprising component (a) and component (b) directly onto the skin to form a coating on the skin, in this order or vice versa: (a) one or more volatile substances selected from the group consisting of water, an alcohol and a ketone, (b) a polymer having a film-forming ability.
AGRICULTURAL SKIN GRAFTING
A method of forming a material structure from structural units contained within a liquid solution in a spray head is described. The liquid solution includes a solvent and a solute, the solute comprising a plurality of the structural units, the structural units including monomer units, oligomer units, or combinations thereof. The method comprises forming droplets of the liquid solution including the structural units, and spraying the droplets on a substrate, thereby substantially increasing the reactivity of the structural units within the droplets relative to the structural units within the liquid solution in the spray head. The increase in reactivity can result from the droplets containing an excess of a particular ion, the ion excess resulting from a voltage applied to conductive walls of the device which dispenses the droplets. The material structure is then formed on the substrate from the more highly reactive structural units within the droplets.
Electrostatic coating method and gun for electrostatic coating
Provided is an electrostatic coating method using a conductor such as a metal or a conductive resin as a coating target surface 21, the method including coating the coating target surface 21 with a charged paint by ejecting the charged paint from a spray gun 1 in a state where generation of an electrostatic field between a spray gun 1 and the coating target surface 21 is prevented and generation of free ions is prevented.

Process for powder coating of objects
In a powder coating process, a primer step is implemented prior to electrostatically applying the powder coating, either in advance of preheating the object to be coated or subsequent thereto, depending upon the selection of materials used in the object to be coated, the primer material being diluted fabric softener applied in a fine mist spray or fog to the object.
Painting method and painting apparatus for insulator
A painting target surface of a resin bumper is painted by discharging a paint mist from a spray gun toward the painting target surface with a charged conductor arranged in contact with an opposite side to the painting target surface. The paint mist is uncharged or is charged with electric charges having an opposite polarity to that of the conductor and at a potential having a lower absolute value than that of the conductor.
