Disclosed is a toy racetrack having a variety of features that together allow a user to control and effect the travel path of toy vehicles as they travel through the toy racetrack. One or more car feeders are provided as starting points for a toy vehicle that is to be introduced onto a continuous closed loop track. A manually adjustable handle is operatively connected to a toy vehicle release that extends upward into the path of the car feeder, which release blocks a toy vehicle's path until a user deliberately lowers the release through movement of the handle. Movement of the handle in a first direction will lower the release while raising a trigger upward into the path of the car feeder, thus preventing additional cars from entering the closed loop track. Movement of the handle in a second direction will lower the release while keeping the trigger retracted, thus allowing all cars on the car feeder to enter the closed loop track.

This application discloses a new toy track system based on hexagonal tiles. This unique system allows for pleasing and complex track layouts in a small area. The layout activity itself can be viewed as a puzzle or game. The track tiles may be joined to one another by puzzle tabs or by magnets along their edges. The track, whether slot or other construction, follows arcs on the hexagons joining midpoints of the hexagon edges. The tile designs are chosen from the unique set of tile designs having such arcs that cross at most once on a single tile.

Interactive construction toy system

Embodiments include a construction toy kit having component parts capable of being assembled in a configuration chosen by the user. The kit may contain a connector extending from a first end to a second end, having a securement comprising a first retainer feature, a second retainer feature and a third retainer feature. The connector may further have a first grip extending from the first end toward the securement, where the first grip is sized to receive a feature of a building panel. The kit may also contain a multiple building panels of various configurations, a mat used as a base for erecting a structure and multiple sensor components. These components among others may be assembled to create structure such as a race course for robotic toys. The sensor elements may be implemented by the user to sense various actions of the robotic toy, and respond as chosen by the user.

The track vehicle includes a body having opposite ends and two sides; two diverting pulleys on the sides; a motor in the vehicle; a drive wheel, connected to the motor, at an end of the body; a battery; a control connected to the motor and the battery; two driving pulleys on the sides of the body, at an end of the body, wherein the driving pulleys and the drive wheel allow the track vehicle to stand and run on a plane; and a biasing wheel on top of the track vehicle for applying a force to an inner wall of a pipe track section, that is in contact with the drive wheel, to maintain the drive wheel in contact with the inner wall for driving the track vehicle along the pipe track section.
