METHOD OF TREATING RAZOR BLADE CUTTING EDGES
A method of manufacturing a razor blade cutting edge, the method including: applying a single coating of a polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge to form a coated blade edge; performing a single heating of the coated blade edge at a single temperature of between 620 F. and 795 F. for a predefined time to adhere the polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge wherein the single heating of the coated blade edge comprises one or more heating stages and wherein each of the one or more heating stages is set at the single temperature; and optionally treating the coated blade edge with a solvent or a mechanical process to partially remove the coating. Also provided is a razor blade cutting edge produced according to the disclosed method.
METHOD OF TREATING RAZOR BLADE CUTTING EDGES
A method of manufacturing a razor blade cutting edge, the method including: applying a single coating of a polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge to form a coated blade edge; performing a single heating of the coated blade edge to adhere the polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge wherein the single heating of the coated blade edge comprises a first heating stage and a second heating stage; and optionally treating the coated blade edge with a solvent or a mechanical process to partially remove the coating. Also provided is a razor blade cutting edge produced according to the disclosed method.

METHOD OF TREATING RAZOR BLADE CUTTING EDGES
A method of manufacturing a razor blade cutting edge, the method including: applying a single coating of a polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge to form a coated blade edge; selecting a temperature profile, where the temperature profile has a temperature and a time, and wherein the temperature profile is selected based on a composition of the razor blade cutting edge; heating the coated blade edge at the temperature and for the time indicated by the selected temperature profile to adhere the polymer material to the razor blade cutting edge; and optionally treating the coated blade edge with a solvent or a mechanical process to partially remove the coating.
Multilayer articles comprising a release surface and methods thereof
Described herein is multilayer article made by the process comprising: delivering particles comprising a silicon compound from at least one fluid jet to a metal surface to embed the metal surface with the silicon compound to form a silicon compound layer; coating the silicon compound layer with an aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion to form a fluoropolymer layer and thereby forming a multilayered article, wherein the aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion comprises (i) a modifying agent; and (ii) a fluorinated polymer, wherein the fluorinated polymer comprises at least one of (a) a partially fluorinated polymer capable of forming a carbon-carbon double bond, (b) a functionalized fluorinated polymer, and (c) combinations thereof; and sintering the multilayered article to form the release surface coated substrate.
Composition and method for preparing corrosion resistant multifunctional coatings
A multifunctional coating method involves cleaning a surface, applying a layer of corrosion-resistant alloy coating to the surface, and applying an oleo-hydrophobic composite coating over the corrosion-resistant alloy coating. An oil and gas pipe has an inner surface with a multifunctional coating applied using the multifunctional coating method, and has an inner oleo-hydrophobic composite coating, beneath the inner oleo-hydrophobic composite coating a corrosion-resistant alloy coating, and beneath the corrosion-resistant alloy coating untreated pipe or any other metallic substrate.
FOAM NODES FOR CREATING STAND OFF ON APPAREL ITEMS
Aspects herein relate to apparel items and apparel systems that utilize applied or printed foam nodes to provide, among other things, stand-off between an apparel item and a wearer's skin surface. One or more of the foam nodes, or areas of the textile surrounding the foam nodes, may be perforated to provide a fluid communication path between an inner-facing surface and an outer-facing surface of the apparel item. The communication path may be used to facilitate air exchange between the external environment and the wearer's body and/or to provide an exit path for moisture vapor generated by the wearer.
COOKING UTENSIL COMPRISING A HARD BASE MADE FROM CERAMIC AND/OR METAL AND/OR POLYMER MATERIAL AND A NONSTICK COATING CONTAINING A FLUOROCARBON RESIN
The invention relates to a cooking utensil comprising a hollow bowl with a base and a side wall rising from the base, and including at least one fragile area. The bowl has a concave inner surface for receiving food, as well as a convex outer surface. The utensil is coated successively, from the bowl, with a hard base and a nonstick coating, which covers the hard base and includes at least one layer containing at least one fluorocarbon resin. The hard base has a layer that is at least broken at the fragile area. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a utensil.
