Material separators
The disclosure features material separators for screening excavated material (e.g., rocks from soil.) In some implementations the materials separators include (a) a supporting frame; (b) a screening surface mounted at an incline on the supporting frame, the screening surface comprising a plurality of fixed bars that are attached to the frame in a manner to resist upward movement, and a plurality of shift bars that are attached to the frame at their upper and lower ends, in a manner to allow upward movement; and (c) a shift bar actuator, positioned between the upper and lower ends of the shift bars, the shift bar actuator being configured to impart a two-stage movement to the shift bars, whereby during a first stage the upper ends are first displaced vertically, and during a second stage the lower ends pivot upward about the upper ends.
SORTING TABLE WITH ADJUSTABLE SCREEN
A sorting table with an adjustable screen for fruit, has a series of conveyor/sorter rollers arranged in a sorting plane and parallel to each other, the conveyor/sorter rollers each having at least one sorter section, a spacing being provided respectively between opposing sorter sections of successive conveyor/sorter rollers in order to allow fruit to pass selectively through the table, via said spacing. The sorting table includes conveyor/sorter rollers provided with sorter sections that have an adjustable diameter and a control device for controlling the diameter of the adjustable-diameter sorter sections. Application to sorting a fruit or grape crop.
FRUIT SORTING TABLE WITH ADAPTIVE SCREEN
A fruit sorting table includes: a conveyor for conveying a fruit crop along a conveying plane, between an intake area and a discharge area, a screen extending in the conveying plane between the intake area and the discharge area, the screen having openings for sorted fruit to pass through from the conveying plane to an area for receiving sorted fruit situated under the conveying plane. The sorting table has at least one device for measuring one of a quantity of fruit and a flow rate of fruit passing through the screen over at least one reference section of the screen, the reference section being situated between the fruit intake area and the discharge area, and set apart from the fruit intake area, a device for adjusting the sorting table in response to the measurement device. Application, in particular, to sorting a grape crop.
MATERIAL SEPARATORS

In some implementations the materials separators include (a) a supporting frame; (b) a screening surface mounted at an incline on the supporting frame, the screening surface comprising a plurality of fixed bars that are attached to the frame in a manner to resist upward movement, and a plurality of shift bars that are attached to the frame at their upper and lower ends, in a manner to allow upward movement; and (c) a shift bar actuator, positioned between the upper and lower ends of the shift bars, the shift bar actuator being configured to impart a two-stage movement to the shift bars, whereby during a first stage the upper ends are first displaced vertically, and during a second stage the lower ends pivot upward about the upper ends.
Processing Conveyance for an Agricultural Baler with Non-Crop Material Releasing Sieve
An agricultural baler includes a processing conveyance that is positioned between a pickup roll and a main bale chamber for conveying crop material from the pickup roll to the main bale chamber. The processing conveyance includes at least one of a bottom wall and side wall having at least one sieve with a plurality of openings extending through the sieve. The openings are sized and configured for allowing non-crop material to exit from the at least one processing conveyance through the openings.
SEDIMENT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A sediment classification system enables the screening of material that enters a backhoe bucket. Material that enters the bucket exits through a duct with an opening at the back of the bucket. The material is screened by passing between a first set of bars and a second set of bars. The bars have spacers between them attached to one of the sets of bars. The second set of bars is pined to the first set and is able to move to clear material wedged between the bars.
Apparatus for selecting horticultural products
An apparatus for selecting horticultural products includes an intake section leading to at least one passage lane defined by a pair of mutually close stems rotatably supported by a support and movement assembly and are interposed longitudinally between the intake section and a discharge section. between the pair of stems, kept inclined downward from the intake section to the discharge section, a longitudinal slot is disposed that can be crossed exclusively by debris and horticultural products having dimensions that are smaller than the width of the slot. The assembly includes a drive unit meshing with an end portion of each stem proximate to the intake section and elements for the free support of an end portion of each stem proximate to the discharge section.
HIGH CAPACITY FILTERING SCREEN
The present disclosure is directed to a filtering assembly and a method of manufacturing a filtering assembly. The filtering assembly may increases an effective screening area. Specifically, embodiments disclosed herein include a screen housing having two sidewalls and two end walls, defining a perimeter with a length and a width. The screen housing also includes a top face and a bottom face. A plurality of screen segments may be positioned on the top face of the screen housing, such that the plurality of screen segments on the top face provide a screening surface area less than a total surface area of the top face.
EDDY CURRENT SYSTEM FOR WORKPIECE INSPECTION
A workpiece handling system for inspection of workpieces having an elongated cylindrical segment with an enlarged feature such as a threaded fastener. A pair of rollers is inclined with respect to horizontal, and having cylindrical surfaces separated by a gap and rotated about parallel axes, with upwardly presented end surfaces. A drive arrangement rotates the rollers. A slide mechanism enables the rollers to be set at a first and second separation gaps. A workpiece transfer mechanism loads the workpiece onto the rollers, rotation of the rollers set at the first separation gap causes the workpieces to rotate. A sensor probe is positioned in close proximity to the workpiece head as the workpiece is rotated. A workpiece receiving system is provided for handling the workpieces when the rollers are set to the separation second gap, allowing the workpiece to fall under gravity between the rollers.
SIEVING DEVICES FOR PUPAE SEPARATION
A sieving device is described. The sieving device includes an adjustable sieve surface that includes a first sieve surface and a second sieve surface. Openings are formed in each of the first sieve surface and the second sieve surface so as to define a shared pathways extending through the adjustable sieve surface. The shared pathways are defined by a length dimension that is greater than a width dimension. The width dimension can correspond to a cephalothorax width of an insect.
