Sieving devices for pupae separation
A sieving device is described. The sieving device includes an adjustable sieve surface that includes a first sieve surface and a second sieve surface. Openings are formed in each of the first sieve surface and the second sieve surface so as to define a shared pathways extending through the adjustable sieve surface. The shared pathways are defined by a length dimension that is greater than a width dimension. The width dimension can correspond to a cephalothorax width of an insect.
High capacity filtering screen
A filtering assembly includes a screen housing having two sidewalls and two end walls, defining a perimeter with a length and a width. The screen housing also includes a top face and a bottom face. A plurality of screen segments are positioned on the top face of the screen housing, such that the plurality of screen segments on the top face provide a screening surface area less than a total surface area of the top face, and a plurality of screen segments are positioned on the bottom face of the screen housing, such that the plurality of screen segments on the bottom face provide a screening surface area less than a total surface area of the bottom face. A total screening surface area of the filtering assembly is greater than the total surface area of the top face.
Flexible and adjustable roller scrapers
A flexible scraper for a grader or other solid object processing system. The flexible scraper is adjustably mounted to a frame and contacts a rotating roller to clean the rotating roller or prevent components from wrapping around the roller, as well as maintain products within designated lanes. Connectors allow insertion and release of the scraper into and from the frame. The flexible scraper is inserted into slots in the frame and held against the rotating roller by gravity.
Processing conveyance for an agricultural baler with non-crop material releasing sieve
An agricultural baler includes a processing conveyance that is positioned between a pickup roll and a main bale chamber for conveying crop material from the pickup roll to the main bale chamber. The processing conveyance includes at least one of a bottom wall and side wall having at least one sieve with a plurality of openings extending through the sieve. The openings are sized and configured for allowing non-crop material to exit from the at least one processing conveyance through the openings.
SEPARATION APPARATUS WITH SCREEN HAVING VARIABLE APERTURES
A novel separation screen, a separation apparatus utilizing the separation screen, and a method for product separation are disclosed herein. The separation screen is formed from a first screening element having a first plurality of openings passing through the first screening element and a second screening element movably coupled to the first screening element. The second screening element is oriented parallel to the first screening element and has a second plurality of openings passing through the second screening element. The separation screen also includes an adjustment device integrated with at least one of the first screening element or the second screening element to control the effective size of the plurality of apertures in the separation screen.
Adjustment mechanism for grading systems
An apparatus and method for grading sensitive products. The apparatus and method treat the objects to be graded gently and are accurate and may be constructed so as to handle extremely large quantities. The grading device has grading channels that are wider at the outlet than at the intake. The belt machine draws the objects forward between two inclined belts which form the channel. An adjusting device is implemented perpendicular underneath the belts of the apparatus having alternatively arranged support members and adjusting members arranged on an adjusting screwing shaft. Both components have screwing sections which regulate an increase or a decrease in the gap between the support members when the adjusting screwing shaft is rotated.
APPARATUS FOR SELECTING HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS
An apparatus for selecting horticultural products includes an intake section leading to at least one passage lane defined by a pair of mutually close stems rotatably supported by a support and movement assembly and are interposed longitudinally between the intake section and a discharge section. between the pair of stems, kept inclined downward from the intake section to the discharge section, a longitudinal slot is disposed that can be crossed exclusively by debris and horticultural products having dimensions that are smaller than the width of the slot. The assembly includes a drive unit meshing with an end portion of each stem proximate to the intake section and elements for the free support of an end portion of each stem proximate to the discharge section.
Riddling device for riddling materials and riddling bucket comprising said device
Device (100) for riddling materials such as, for instance, inert materials arising from demolitions or the like or inert materials for the building industry such as gravels, sands or the like, comprising at least two riddling rollers or drums (103, 102), wherein at least one of them can be moved with respect to the other so that the distance between the axis of rotation of said at least two rollers or drums can be changed according to the needs and/or circumstances.
MULTILAYER DISPOSABLE CARTRIDGE FOR FERROFLUID-BASED ASSAYS AND METHOD OF USE
The disclosed embodiments relate to method, system and apparatus for assay testing. In an exemplary embodiment, the disclosure relates to a cartridge for testing an assay. The cartridge includes a sample reservoir to receive a mixture of a plurality of target particles and a ferrofluidic solution; a capture region formed on the cartridge; a fluidic channel to communicate the mixture between the sample reservoir and the capture region; a magnetic ferrofluidic solution positioned inside the fluidic channel; and at least one pneumatic valve to communicate a quantity of the mixture from the sample reservoir. The magnetic ferrofluidic solution is excitable in response to an externally applied electromagnetic field to affect the ferrofluidic solution in the mixture.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CARTRIDGE SECUREMENT
In certain embodiments, the disclosure provides an inflatable bladder lid that configures with a cartridge configured for assay testing. The inflatable bladder provides substantially uniform pressure to the cartridge. The pressure is substantially distributed across the one or more regions of the cartridge to extend pressure over a wide cartridge surface. At least a portion of the bladder lid may comprise a flexible membrane material that inflates and stretches over at least a portion of the cartridge to conformally contact its first/top surface.
