Device and Method for Mineral Classifying
20200061672 · 2020-02-27 ·

A classifying device comprising: a bin having an open top face; a flat screen extending along a plane and configured for extending over and fully covering the open top face of the bin, the screen having a netting configured to enable passage of material smaller than a desired size therethrough into the bin; and two flanges disposed at two respective opposite sides of a perimeter of the screen. The device is configured for being placed in a water stream with a water level just above the screen and the flanges disposed substantially along a direction of a water flow of the stream, such that the flanges decrease escape of the water through the sides at which the flanges are disposed, thereby increasing a speed of the water flow over the screen in the direction of the water flow of the stream.

SCREEN AND SCREEN RETENTION SYSTEM FOR A SHALE SHAKER
20240058843 · 2024-02-22 ·

A screen assembly includes primary screens, each comprising a rib coupled to a perforated plate and extending vertically above a woven mesh. The primary screens are held rigidly to a basket of a shale shaker in near-flat shape after application of a preload with preloading mechanisms on the rib. The application of the preload deforms upper and lower rails of the basket and increases screen support stiffness during dynamic operation. A scalper screen can be mounted on the shaker on top of the primary screens and locked by the same preloading mechanisms as the primary screens. Vibrator motors are mounted near the side walls of the basket. The basket can comprise a torsional tube, and a tension beam or tube disposed parallel and above the torsion tube, to provide efficient mounting of the vibrator motors.

SCREENING MEDIA FOR VIBRATORY SEPARATORS
20190358675 · 2019-11-28 ·

Screening media to screen oversized material includes a main body and a plurality of openings extending through the main body between an upward facing contact face and a downward facing bottom face. A textured pattern is provided at the contact face to provide a roughened surface for the partial entrapment of material fines. Such a configuration protects the screen media from aggressive contact with the material to be screened and provides a bedding layer that is maintained by material-on-material attrition during bulk material flow over the media.

Screening media is arranged to screen oversized material, the media having a main body and a plurality of openings extending through the main body between an upward facing contact face and a downward facing bottom face. A textured pattern is provided at the contact face to provide a roughened surface for the partial entrapment of material fines. Such a configuration protects the screen media from aggressive contact with the material to be screened and provides a bedding layer that is maintained by material-on-material attrition during bulk material flow over the media.

Method and apparatus for supplying support from below to a screen cloth on a vibrating screening machine

A support structure for vibrating screening machine with either a flat screen deck or a crowned screen deck which use a coped and then capped variation of the same prefabricated rectangular tubular cross-member but in rotated orientations. The machine further providing support for a crowned screen media without using a crowned cross-member by providing stringers with differing vertical heights with the centermost stringer having the most height above a flat top cross-member.

HYDRAULIC HOISTING OF POTASH AND OTHER EVAPORITE ORES
20190338627 · 2019-11-07 ·

According to embodiments described in the specification, an exemplary method is disclosed for hydraulically hoisting potash (or other evaporite ore) fines material from an underground mine. The method includes mining an ore deposit using a boring machine to generate Run-of-Mine (ROM) material at a mine face, conveying the generated ROM material to an underground ore screening plant, screening the ROM material relative to a threshold size wherein the threshold size is a feed size of one or more flotation cells at a surface processing plant, mixing fines material, comprising ROM material that is below the threshold size, with a saturated brine to create a slurry mixture wherein the saturated brine prevents the fines material from dissolving into the slurry mixture, and pumping the slurry mixture to a surface location via one of a shaft and a borehole to the surface product separation plant.

Footwear manufacturing process

A method of reclaiming used tennis balls and transforming the material reclaimed from the tennis balls into soles for footwear. This multi-step process requires acquiring used tennis balls, grinding the tennis balls into ground rubber bits (usable elements) and tennis ball fuzz (unusable elements). The rubber and fuzz are passed through a screen which allows the rubber bits to exit the screen but retains the fuzz. The rubber is then mixed with an H.sub.2O and Polyurethane mixture to form a rubber mixture. This mixture is then pressed to a desired thickness in a hydraulic press, cured, and then cut out into a desired shoe sole shape and size which can be used to manufacture footwear.

Triple layer non-plugging screen
10427070 · 2019-10-01 ·

A triple layer non-plugging screen for use with a vibrating screening machine to filter particles from a liquid has an upper filtering layer made of warp and shute wires that intersect to form an array of small openings, a lower strengthening layer having an array of large openings, and an anti-plugging layer. The anti-plugging layer is sandwiched between the upper filtering and lower strengthening layers and is made of warp and shute wires that intersect to form an array of openings. The upper filtering and anti-plugging layers are oriented within the screen so that at least one of the warp and shute wires of the anti-plugging layer obstructs at least some of the openings in the upper filtering layer. This reduces the likelihood of entrapment of undesirable particles in the obstructed openings of the upper filtering layer.

INTERCHANGEABLE BACKWIRE/COMBINED SIEVE AND DYNAMIC COMBINED CLEANER
20190224722 · 2019-07-25 ·

A sieve is disclosed for use in a plansifter. The sieve can be changed between backwire and combined sieve configurations without the height of the sieve changing, and while maintaining contact between a frame of the sieve and the sieve box. A dynamic combined cleaner also is disclosed in which the center of gravity of the cleaner dynamically changes based on inertial movements applied to the cleaner.

Screen assembly for a vibrating screening machine

According to one aspect there is provided a screen assembly for a vibrating screening machine. The screen assembly comprises a screen chassis and a screen for screening material such as a solution containing liquid and solids. The screen chassis comprises a first face and a second face opposite to the first face, the screen chassis defining a plurality of openings therethrough from the first face to the second face for allowing passage of a material that has been screened. The screen is attached to the first face of the screen chassis and covering the openings of the screen chassis at the first face. The screen chassis may be made of a light-weight, stiff material. The screen may be made of a durable material such as metal. A method for making a screen assembly is also provided.
