A device for washing an article in a container of fluid includes a cover having a wash surface, an opposed undersurface, and multiple ducts extending therethrough, where each of the ducts has an internal wall that tapers outwardly as the duct extends away from the wash surface, and a base operatively coupled to the cover, the base having a support surface and an opposed interior surface positioned facing the undersurface of the cover. The device further includes a resilient member operatively coupled between the cover and the base to bias the cover and base apart. Pushing the article against the wash surface presses the cover towards the base and directs a portion of the fluid through the ducts onto the article. Also disclosed are a wash assembly and a washing system including the device.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR WASHING OBJECTS PRODUCED BY STEREOLITHOGRAPHY

A method of making a three-dimensional object from a polymerizable resin, the method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a carrier platform on which the three-dimensional object can be formed; (b) producing the three-dimensional object adhered to the carrier platform from the polymerizable resin by stereolithography, the object having residual resin on the surface thereof; (c) immersing the object in a wash liquid with the object remaining adhered to the carrier platform; (d) agitating (i) the object in said wash liquid (e.g., by spinning), (ii) the wash liquid with the object immersed therein (e.g., by sonication of the wash liquid), or (iii) both the object in the wash liquid and the wash liquid with the object immersed therein, to at least partially remove residual resin from the surface of the object; (e) separating the object from the wash liquid, with the object remaining adhered to the carrier platform, the object having residual wash liquid on the surface thereof; (f) agitating the object (e.g., by spinning) to at least partially remove residual wash liquid from the surface thereof; and (g) repeating steps (c) through (f) at least once to remove additional polymerizable resin from the surface thereof, wherein steps (c) through (f) are carried out in the same vessel, said immersing step (c) comprises filling the vessel with the wash liquid, and the separating step (e) comprises draining the wash liquid from the vessel.

Magnetically Driven Beverage Brewing and Cleaning System

A coffee brewing system includes a brew vessel adapted to receive water and ground coffee to produce and store a brewed beverage and to provide for a cleaning system. The brew vessel includes a filter and a magnet stirrer in the lower portion of the brew vessel. The magnet stirrer creates a water vortex for brewing the coffee. The used coffee grounds are allowed to settle on the filter creating a bed of used coffee grounds and the coffee is then filtered through both the bed of used coffee grounds and the filter and collected in a coffee storage container. A cleaning system is used to remove unsightly coffee stains and oil films in the system after a brewing cycle.

A method is disclosed for removing oil from oil covered rocks of reclaimed asphalt that is milled from pavement of a roadway. The oil covered rocks are cleaned so as to be suitable to be mixed with virgin rocks to make new asphalt. The oil covered rocks are submerged within and moved through a water filled bath by an oil scrubber (e.g., a motor driven screw or set of paddles) where the rocks are agitated and rubbed together to cause the oil to separate therefrom. To enhance the oil removal process, steam is sprayed under pressure into the bath from an overhead manifold. To further enhance the oil removal process, the rocks are preheated within an insulated hot box prior to their receipt by the water bath. The cleaned rocks are removed from the bath to be collected, dried and recycled.

Apparatus and method for reprocessing a medical device

An apparatus and method for reprocessing a medical device includes a decontamination basin, a first flush conduit, a second flush conduit, and a manifold. The first and second flush conduits have respective first and second coupling ports configured to fluidly connect to the medical device positioned within the decontamination basin. The manifold is fluidly connected to the first and second flush conduits and configured to distribute the fluid received therein accordingly. The apparatus also includes a first valve, a second valve, and a primary pump configured to discharge the fluid into the manifold at a predetermined supply flow rate. The first and second valve are positioned respectively in the first and second flush conduits for balancing the respective flow rates discharged therefrom at a first predetermined conduit flow rate and a second predetermined conduit flow rate.

PARTS-WASHING METHOD
