ADAPTATION OF A ROLL MODEL
A storage device for two rolls in a roll stand is a component part of the roll stand or can be positioned relative to the roll stand in such a way that the rolls can be transferred from the roll stand into the storage device or vice versa. At least one measuring system is provided, by means of which the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls can be detected individually and independently of one another, at least at predefined detection positions, as viewed in the direction of the roll axes. After transmission to an automation unit that controls the roll stand, the unit can adapt a roll model, by means of which it repeatedly determines the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls, at predefined determination positions, in the direction of the roll axes, using operating data of the roll stand for the rolls of the same type.
Tool changeover system and method
To minimize the setup times in the case of a tool changeover on rolls, the movement sequences are separated into transverse movements and vertical movements using a tool changeover system and method for changeover of at least one tool disposed on a roll shaft in a working position. In one aspect, the tool changeover system includes a tool changeover rack, a vertical transport and a transverse transport. A drawing frame separate from the tool changeover rack can be transported transversely separately with reference to the tool changeover rack. The tool changeover rack has a device for connecting with the vertical transport and a tool accommodation for accommodating the tool. The drawing frame has a device for connecting with the transverse transport and a device for connecting with the tool.
ROLL CHANGING DEVICE
Changing rolls in rolling equipment is performed more efficiently. For this purpose, a roll changing device (12) for changing a pair of top and bottom work rolls (21) provided in a rolling mill (11) for rolling a strip to be passed therethrough includes: a work roll holding unit (51) holding the pair of top and bottom work rolls (21) in an attachable/detachable manner and capable of moving the work rolls (21) in a threading direction; a roll holding device (31) including the work roll holding unit (51) and capable of moving in a roll axis direction relative to the rolling mill (11) in a state of holding the work rolls (21) by using the work roll holding unit (51); and a work roll transfer device (32) capable of moving in a direction intersecting with a moving path of the roll holding device (31) and capable of mounting the work rolls (21).
ROLLER EXCHANGE MECHANISM FOR REDUCTION ROLL APPARATUS
A roll exchange mechanism for a reduction roll apparatus, capable of contributing to simplifying work for replacing a roller is provided. A roll exchange mechanism for a reduction roll apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a rail member disposed parallel to a rotation shaft of a roller of the reduction roll apparatus, a placement part disposed in a support frame of a roll unit and configured to be placed on the rail member, a receiving part disposed in an apparatus frame of the reduction roll apparatus and configured so that the rail member is placed thereon, and an opening formed in the apparatus frame of the reduction roll apparatus and configured so that the roll unit can be inserted therein and removed therefrom.
Robotic System for a Rolling Mill
A robotic system for a plant for rolling a metal strip, the plant including a rolling mill having a roll stand and a set of rolls, internal to the stand, the roll stand having an access opening, possibly closed by a door system, the metal strip extending longitudinally according to a horizontal direction X, and transversely according to a horizontal direction Y, the direction Y being parallel to the axes of the rolls of the rolling mill. The robotic system is suited to ensure the operations of replacing rolls of the rolling mill, by extraction of the worn rolls from the stand of the rolling mill and the deposition thereof on a rack disposed laterally, and/or insertion of new or rectified rolls into the roll stand from rolls disposed in a rack.
METHOD FOR REPLACING WORK ROLL(S) IN A ROLLING MILL AND GRASPING TOOL SUITABLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE METHOD
A tool intended to be handled by a handling system, the grasping tool including: a support frame forming at least one pair of compartments for the storage of two work rolls, independent gripping systems including a first gripping system configured to secure one end of a work roll in a first compartment and a second gripping system configured to secure one end of a work roll in a second compartment, a push/pull system including one or more actuating cylinder(s) configured to extract or insert the worn/new rolls from/into the compartment by a selective movement of each of the gripping systems associated with the compartments, by causing a movement of the work roll according to an axis of the roll.
Waste stripping unit with simplified tool adjustment in a packaging production machine
A waste stripping unit in a packaging production machine (1), positioned downstream of a cutting unit (3). The stripping unit includes a frame and two rotary tools cooperating with one another (17, 18). A first tool has waste stripping needles protruding radially outward from the outer surface. The two tools (17, 18) are mounted in a removable cassette (22). A frame (23) is provided with bearings supporting the two tools (17, 18), and which can be introduced into, attached to and extracted from the frame (16).
METHOD FOR CHANGING THE ROLLS ON A ROLLING MILL
Disclosed is a method for changing the rolls on a rolling mill for rolling a metal strip, carried out using a Quarto rolling mill, including lower and upper working and support rolls. The installation includes a system for extracting the working rolls and the support rolls, including: an actuator pushing the rolls out of the roll stand extraction; a coupling head, secured to the actuator, situated in a position of opening of the roll stand, including: a first coupler driving the chock or the end of the lower working roll, on the rolling-mill drive side; a second coupler driving the chock of the lower support roll, on the rolling-mill drive side. The first and second coupler allow successive extractions of the working rolls and then of the support rolls from the roll stand using the actuator of the extraction system. Also disclosed is a related rolling mill installation.
