Magnetic press brake tooling engagement system
A punch or die component for a press brake apparatus includes a tool body having a coupling end adapted for coupling with a holder, and a working end adapted for operation on a workpiece. One or more magnetic elements can be adapted for selective engagement of the punch or die component within a press apparatus by magnetic coupling with the tool body, where the working end is configured for forming the workpiece by operation of the press apparatus. The magnetic coupling can be defined between the tool body and holder disposed adjacent the coupling end, or between the tool body and an adjacent punch or die component disposed along a side surface of the tool body, or both.
TOOL STORAGE SYSTEM, PRODUCTION PLANT AND METHOD FOR MANIPULATING WITH SUCH A TOOL STORAGE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a tool storage system (32) as well as to a production facility (1) for free-form bending of workpieces (2) made from a metal sheet, by means of a bending press (3), comprising a tool storage unit (30), a tool manipulation unit (31), and a provisioning unit (55) having provisioning rails (56, 57). The tool storage unit (30) has an upper and lower storage rail (34, 35), which are disposed spaced apart from one another at a vertical distance, as well as locally fixed in place relative to one another. The tool manipulation unit (31) has tool manipulation devices (36, 37), wherein each of the same comprises a working rail (38, 42), an auxiliary rail (39, 43), a drawing-in device (40, 44), as well as a pushing-out device (41, 45). Each of the tool manipulation devices (36, 37) can be displaced laterally next to the storage rails (34, 35), along a longitudinal guide arrangement (46, 47). Furthermore, the invention also comprises a method for manipulation of at least one bending tool (4) in such a tool storage system (32).
Magnetic press brake and machine tooling engagement systems
A machine tool apparatus for a press brake, folding press or punch press system includes a tool holder body having a receiving portion configured for selective engagement with a coupling end of a machine tool. The apparatus also includes a magnetic coupling assembly comprising one or more magnetic elements configured to generate a magnetic coupling adapted for the selective engagement of the tool holder body with the coupling end of the machine tool. In some embodiments, the apparatus may further include an actuator configured to manipulate at least one of the magnetic elements to modulate the strength of the magnetic coupling for selective engagement and disengagement of the tool holder body with the coupling end of the machine tool.

The invention relates to a bending press (1) and/or feeding device (2) for feeding a bending press (1) with bending tools (5, 6), comprising: at least one tool holder (3, 4; 13, 14) with a rail (7) comprising an inner profile (8) for receiving and displacing a bending tool (5, 6); and at least one transfer device (15) which can be driven by a drive (21) for displacing a bending tool (5, 6) inside the tool holder (3, 4; 13, 14) and/or between the tool holder (13, 14) of the feeding device (2) and a tool holder (3, 4) of a bending press (1),
and the transfer device (15) comprises a releasable coupling (18) for connecting a bending tool (5, 6), said transfer device (15) being guided in the rail (7) of the tool holder (3, 4; 13, 14) and the active area of the coupling (18) is arranged at least partially inside the rail (7).
Bending press and/or loading device
The invention relates to a bending press (1) and/or a loading device (2) for loading a bending press (1) with bending tools (5, 6), comprising: at least one tool holder (3, 4; 13, 14) with a rail (7) having an inner profile (8) for receiving and displacing a bending tool (5, 6), at least one internal wall (9) of the rail (7) forming a guide structure (10) extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail (7); and at least one transfer device (15) drivable by a drive (21) for displacing a bending tool (5, 6) within the tool holder (3, 4; 13, 14) and/or between the tool holder (13, 14) of the loading device (2) and a tool holder (3, 4) of a bending press (1), wherein at least one portion of the transfer device (15) is guided by the guide structure (10) formed in the rail (7).
Sheet material bending system
A sheet material bending system includes a tool changing apparatus that changes tools between a press brake and a tool stocker. The tool stocker is arranged behind the press brake. To change tools from the front and rear of the tool stocker, the front and rear of the tool stocker are opened. The tool changing apparatus has a pivot that is movable in front-rear, left-right, and up-down directions and is rotatable around an axis extending in the up-down direction. A front end of the pivot is provided with tool holding units to hold tools.
TOOL HOLDER ASSEMBLY, AND SEATING/SECURING COMPONENTS AND ACTIVATION SYSTEMS THEREFOR
A tool holder assembly and insert body and activation system used with the assembly. The insert body of the tool holder assembly can be configured to shift as needed to engage tooling when the assembly is activated. In some cases, the insert body can be configured to shift further to better engage the tooling. The activation system can be electrical.
Clamp apparatus
To provide a clamp apparatus including swinging fulcrums on a side of a swinging body, in which the clamp apparatus swings about the swinging fulcrum at the time of opening a channel mouth and at an initial stage to start clamping of the channel mouth, and as swinging for the clamping progresses, the clamp apparatus shifts to other swinging fulcrum located at an upper part of a clamping point to complete clamping.
Method for installing divided upper tool to upper tool holder provided on upper table of press brake, tool changer, and tool stocker
In an installing method for installing divided upper tools to upper tool holders disposed to be spaced at an appropriate interval in a left-right direction in a lower portion of an upper table of a press brake, by using a tool changer, a round bar-shaped finger provided in the tool changer is engaged in a circular engagement hole provided at a central portion in the lateral direction of each divided upper tool. The divided upper tool is temporarily positioned in a gap between an upper tool holder to which the divided upper tool is to be installed, and an adjacent upper tool holder. The temporarily positioned divided upper tool is moved in the left-right direction to be installed to the upper tool holder to which the divided upper tool is to be installed.
