A blind riveting device is provided, which is adapted for engagement to a handle having a powered translating member projecting therefrom. Force from the translating member imparted to a drive piston moves a second piston to pull a blind rivet connected to a jaw engaged with the second piston, thereby mounting the blind rivet.

Detachable double-locking riveting dismounting method and pulling rivet

The invention discloses a detachable double-locking riveting dismounting method and a pulling rivet. A lantern ring comprises a thin-wall hook section, a thick-wall locking section and a lantern ring head with an annular step from front to back. The rivet comprises a rivet head of an annular groove matched with the hook section, a front polish rod section, a knurling section matched with the locking section, a separating groove, a rear polish rod and a tail annular groove section from front to back. Double riveting is used by inserting the rivet and lantern ring from both sides; after riveting, the locking section and knurling section form radial locking, and the hook section is buckled to form axial locking. Simple detaching tools (e.g. front snap ring and center cylinder) are equipped to dismount rivets rapidly.

ELECTRIC NAIL GUN STRUCTURE

An electric nail gun structure is disclosed. A gun head seat body is formed into a structure with inner and outer cover layers, allowing a rotating rod and a slide piece moving a pull nail linearly to be configured inside it; the gun head seat body is formed completely by having a steel sleeve with equidistantly spaced slide chutes on the inside thereof covered with a plastic contact layer, where the slide chutes allows projecting ribs configured on the steel slide piece to be in engagement therewith so that a stable and safe nail pull operation can be obtained. Furthermore, a length extensible and width adjustable auxiliary handle rod is configured on the outside of the gun head seat body allowing nail gun seat bodies for all kinds of electric, pneumatic drills to be operated conveniently and safely with one single hand.

Tool and method for processing a workpiece with a tool element of a tool

A tool for processing a workpiece has a tool element for processing the workpiece and a control device. The control device is configured to evaluate a rotation angle, which is detected by a detection device, and with which the tool is arranged in space, after a processing operation of the workpiece has been carried out with the tool element. The control device is also configured to release the control of the tool in a manner dependent on whether the tool has been arranged in space with a predetermined rotation angle after the workpiece has been processed.

Riveting tool

The invention relates to a riveting tool for setting blind rivet nuts and/or blind rivet screws with a drive piston hydraulically adjustable between a starting position and an end position and a pull rod operationally connected with the drive piston and adjustable between a rivet receiving position and a setting position. In order to provide a riveting tool with a hydraulically driven drive piston, which has a simple and good adaptability for the blind rivet screws and/or blind rivet nuts to be set, it is provided that a coupling unit, a tractive tool adjusted for the blind rivet nut and/or blind rivet screw as well as the pull rod are designed for the form-fitting connection of the pull rod with the tractive tool, which is releasable in the direction of the longitudinal axis and in the circumferential direction.

BLIND FLOW SCREW JOINING OF MATERIALS

A two-part mechanical fastener comprising an elongated body with a bore slidably carrying a mandrel adapted to interferingly engage the body is described. The fastener body has one or more protuberances on its exterior surface. In an aspect, the protuberances form a thread. The fastener is adapted to form an opening in, and penetrate, a stack of two or more workpieces. To secure the workpieces in the workpiece stack and form a robust joint, the fastener body is deformed by the mandrel, expanding the body, so that a body end engages a surface of the workpiece stack and the one or more protuberances are brought into engagement with the walls of the opening. Methods of using such a fastener to secure non-ferrous or polymer-based sheet-like workpieces to one another are disclosed.

METHOD OF RIVETING INVOLVING ULTRASONIC PULSES

A method of riveting a first substrate and a second substrate with a rivet includes delivering a first ultrasonic pulse to a respective exterior surface of the first substrate at a predefined target area, via an ultrasonic device. The first ultrasonic pulse is configured to soften the first substrate at a first softening temperature. The method includes attaching a crust layer on a rivet head of the rivet. A second ultrasonic pulse is delivered to the predefined target area to soften the crust layer at a second softening temperature, via the ultrasonic device. A surface profile of the crust layer is fashioned via compression of a horn inner cavity of the ultrasonic device over the crust layer. The crust layer is cooled to harden into a seal configured to prevent entry of moisture between the rivet and the respective exterior surface of the first substrate, thereby reducing galvanic corrosion.

ATTACHMENT FOR A RIVET SETTING TOOL
20180200781 · 2018-07-19 ·

An attachment for a rivet setting tool with a first plurality of jaws configured to clamp and pull a mandrel of a rivet comprises a flexible sheath and a flexible cable arranged within the flexible sheath. The flexible cable includes a first end configured to be clamped and pulled by the first plurality of jaws and a second end opposite the first end. A second plurality of jaws between which the mandrel is receivable is coupled to the second end of the flexible cable. The second plurality of jaws is configured to clamp and pull the mandrel in response to the first end of the flexible cable being clamped and pulled by the first plurality of jaws.
