A second biasing member (74) biases the bit sleeve toward the blocking position. A positioning part (75) is fixed on the outer-circumferential surface of the rotational-output shaft and stops the bit sleeve at the blocking position. The bit sleeve has a projection (88), which is disposed on the forward side of the first biasing member, extends inward in the radial direction, and slidably contacts the rotational-output shaft.

The sleeve forward end includes a recessed circumferential portion bounded by a first thicker portion of the inside wall, where the first thicker portion bears against the balls when the tubular body is translated rearwardly into an inward lock position and the inward force is removed from the plurality of balls when the tubular body is extended forwardly into a release position.

The drill bores extend downwardly away from the part receiving surface. The central bore is between the drill bores and extends downwardly away from the part receiving surface. The centering nub is slidable within the central bore, and has an upper tip extendable beyond the part receiving surface, positionable between an extended position and a partially retracted position. The upper tip has a conical configuration. The biasing member is positioned within the central bore and biases the centering nub toward the extended position. A drill system and a method are also disclosed.
