Compound Saw
A compound saw includes a base, a housing, a transmission component and a table, the rear end of the table is rotatably connected to the housing, and is engaged with the cutter head through the transmission component, so as to expose the cutter head out of the first cutting slit or out of the second cutting slit when the front end of the table swings upward and downward. The cutter head of the compound saw can be switched between the bench cutting mode and the miter cutting mode. Accordingly, on one hand, the structure for switching between modes is simple and does not require the cooperation of too many parts; on the other hand, the switchover can be realized simply by manually operating the movable bench, without too many operations.
MITER SAW
A benchtop cutting machine (1), such as a miter saw, includes: a base (2); a turntable (3), which is rotatable relative to the base; and a lock mechanism (40), which locks the rotation of the turntable relative to the base. The lock mechanism comprises a locking pin (45), which is movable along its axial direction and locks the rotation of the turntable by engaging with the base, and a manipulatable lever (41), which is pivotable in an up-down direction to release the engagement of the locking pin from the base. The manipulatable lever has a pivot point or center of rotation (42) that is located upward of the locking pin.
Power tool with integrated measurement device and associated methods
Various embodiments of tools with integrated measurement devices are described. An apparatus may include a tool to be applied to a workpiece, an integrated measurement device in a feed path of the tool, and a controller. The integrated measurement device may generate signals indicative of rotation of a roller in a feed path of a workpiece. The controller may generate, based on the signal, a distance measurement of the workpiece. The distance measurement may indicate a distance between an end of the workpiece and a location of the workpiece to which the tool is to be applied.
MITER SAW WITH PIVOTALLY ROTATABLE EXTENSION
A miter saw with a pivotally rotatable extension includes a base, a worktable, a cutting member, and an extension member. The base has a pair of lateral edges oppositely extending along a longitudinal direction, a top surface correspondingly engaged to each lateral edge. The worktable is rotatably mounted to the base, and has a work surface corresponding to the top surface. The cutting member is connected to the worktable. The extension member is pivotally mounted to one of the lateral sides of the base. The extension member is convertible between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the base. The extension member has an extension surface. At the extended position, the extension surface is engaged to the top surface longitudinally for supporting a workpiece. At the retracted position, the extension surface is substantially perpendicular to the top surface for minimizing the size of the miter saw.
Table Saw and Miter Saw Combination Apparatus
A table saw and miter saw combination apparatus for combining the functionalities of table saws and miter saws includes a table housing having a table blade slot extending through to a table inside. A table saw is coupled to the table housing within the table inside and has a table blade extending through the table blade slot. The table saw has a power switch coupled to the table front side. A miter housing is coupled to the table housing. The miter top side has a base cutout. A miter base is coupled to the miter housing being pivotably coupled within the base cutout. The miter base has a miter blade slot extending therethrough. A miter saw is coupled to the miter housing. The miter saw has a miter arm. The miter saw has a miter handle coupled the miter arm. The miter handle has a power trigger.
Zero clearance fence
A Zero Clearance Fence that gives precision to chop saw fences. The invention consists of two flat surfaces and mounting devices. The flat surfaces are beveled at one edge of both surfaces. The beveled edge allows a tape measure to be hooked on at any desired miter angle. The invention mounts onto the original chop saw fences so that they are able to slide towards and away from the saw blade. The ability to slide allows the fences to always be right next to the saw blade at any miter angle cut for precision in the cut measurements. The mounting apertures can be located anywhere to allow the Zero Clearance Fence to fit on any chop saw.
Control and power module for driving a brushless motor in a power tool
A power tool is provided including a tool housing, a brushless DC (BLDC) motor assembly disposed within the tool housing, and a power module including a printed circuit board (PCB) and power switches mounted on the PCB and electrically coupled to the motor assembly. The PCB includes a width that is greater than a diameter of the motor assembly. A mounting bracket is secured to an end of the motor assembly and includes a mating portion arranged to mate with the end of the motor assembly, mount posts extending radially-outwardly from the mating portion, and axial walls extending between outer ends of the mount posts and at least partially housing the power module to support the PCB in a substantially parallel orientation relative to the rear end of the motor assembly.
MITER SAW
A bevel angle lock and detent system for a miter saw includes a first locking unit fixed relative to the turntable and a second locking unit coupled to a bevel arm of the miter saw. An actuator is moveable between a first position and a second position to move the second locking unit relative to the first locking unit. In the first position, a brake member of the second locking unit is engaged with an arcuate surface of the first locking unit to lock a saw unit relative to a turntable. In the second position, the brake member is disengaged from the arcuate surface, thereby permitting pivoting movement of the saw unit, and a detent member of the second locking unit is engageable a detent aperture of the first locking unit to locate the saw unit relative to the turntable at one predetermined bevel angle.
Saw machine worktable positioning mechanism
A saw machine worktable positioning mechanism includes a pivot shaft, an operating member and a first positioning unit so arranged that operating the operating member can drive the first positioning unit to move a positioning member of the first positioning unit relative to the base of the saw machine in one of two reversed directions to lock the worktable of the saw machine to the base or to unlock the worktable from the base.

The cutting unit includes a support arm pivotally mounted on the worktable, a saw blade, and a driver. The miter saw folding method includes the step of biasing the cutting unit relative to the base unit and the step of rotating the support arm relative to the base unit and the worktable to change the cutting unit from a working position to a folded position, thus reducing the vertical space occupied by the cutting unit and facilitating delivery, storage and package of the foldable miter saw.
