Aviary system and method of circulating litter in an aviary
An aviary that includes a system and method for providing litter to birds and for circulating the litter throughout the aviary. A litter distribution chain extends through at least some of the scratching platforms. The litter distribution chain receives litter from a storage container and then transfers the litter through the aviary for use by the birds on the scratching platforms. At least a portion of the litter from one scratching platform is directed to move to a scratching platform on a lower level where the litter may be used by birds occupying this lower level. This circulation pattern repeats on the current level, with the recycled litter being deposited on at least one scratching platform near the next lower aviary tower level. Once the litter reaches the lowest aviary tower level, it remains there until it is removed from the aviary by a belt or other means.

WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A water absorption treatment material absorbs a liquid, and includes a grain. The grain has a water absorbing property. The grain is in an obliquely-cut columnar shape having a side surface, and first and second bottom surfaces.
PET ABSORBENT SHEET
A pet absorbent sheet having a thickness direction, a first direction orthogonal to the thickness direction, and a second direction orthogonal to the thickness direction and the first direction includes: a top-surface sheet disposed on a top-surface side; a back-surface sheet disposed on a back-surface side; an absorbent body disposed between the top-surface sheet and the back-surface sheet; and colored portions disposed on a back-surface side of the top-surface sheet and that are visible from a top-surface side of the top-surface sheet. A region that overlaps the absorbent body includes: colored regions where the colored portions are disposed; and a non-colored region where the colored portions are not disposed between the colored regions in the first direction. The non-colored region is disposed throughout an entire region of the absorbent body in the second direction.
Apparatus for Dispensing Bedding Inside of Breeding Cages for Use in Pharmaceutical Preclinical Research Centres, and Method of Using Said Apparatus
Apparatus configured for dispensing bedding inside of breeding cages for use in pharmaceutical preclinical research centres, including: a loading hopper located in the upper part of the apparatus, and adapted to contain the bedding to be supplied to the cages; at least one supporting plane adapted to support one or more cages, and positioned under the hopper; an actuator under the hopper, adapted to raise or lower the hopper and the at least one supporting plane; one or more dosing mouths located in the lower part of the loading hopper, and adapted to feed into the cages given quantities of bedding from the hopper; a dispensation system adapted to dispense bedding into the cages through the one or more dosing mouths; a control system adapted to determine the quantity of bedding and to control the actuator; and a base for supporting the apparatus.

EQUINE MATTING
Equine matting for a horse stall made of a composite textile of nonwoven fabric sewn to a plastic grid.
CAT LITTER BOX MAT
A cat litter box mat having a planar upper layer which overlaps and covers a planar lower layer. In some embodiments, the planar upper layer includes a pair of planar upper layers. The planar upper layers are connected to the planar lower layer. A plurality of openings are formed through the upper layers and these openings increase in area from a lower surface of each upper layer to an upper surface of the upper layers. Connecting members are provided for joining additional mats placed adjacent one another.

LOW DUSTING, SMALL CLUMPING HIGHLY ABSORPTIVE ANIMAL LITTER
Animal litter comprising composite particles including powdered sodium bentonite and powdered activated carbon, agglomerated together into the composite particles, wherein the animal litter has a particle size distribution of 16/50 mesh (i.e., 300 μm to 1180 μm in size). The litter may include non-composite, granular clay particles (e.g., granular sodium bentonite) having the same particle size distribution (16/50 mesh). Such particle size characteristics significantly reduce dusting, without the need for a de-dusting agent, reduce clump depth and/or reduce clump width at the bottom of the clump (both acting to reduce risk of clumps sticking to the bottom of the litter box) and result in more efficient use of the litter in clumping (reduced clump weight) by increasing absorbency.
