A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance the manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. The bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, the bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.

Described herein are sticky mats and methods for using sticky mats to reduce the mess associated with pieces of litter being ejected from litter boxes during use. As described, a sticky mat that includes one or more adhesive sheets may be placed adjacent to a litter box such that litter that is ejected by a pet (or otherwise) from the litter box adheres to the adhesive sheet, rather than landing on a floor around the box. In some instances, the litter box includes multiple removable adhesive sheets, such that a pet owner may remove (e.g., tear off) and dispose of a top adhesive sheet when it has been dirtied with litter, so as to expose a fresh adhesive sheet for use.

A supply housing for holding a fresh supply of pad rolls which is connected to the waste station. A take-up assembly, which is connected to an end of the pet waste machine, is configured to dispose soiled pads by rolling up and sealing the soiled portion of the pad. A control and drive module is connected to the pet waste machine and is configured to detect animal activity. The control and drive module is comprised of an activity sensor. A network connection is connected to the control and drive module and is capable of transmitting data obtained by the pet waste machine.
