The invention relates to a container for containing a living organism, a docking station for docking the container, and a transportation system comprising the container and the docking station. The container comprises a docking for docking the container to a docking station. The docking station comprises a light emitter. The container comprises light-guiding means for guiding at least part of the light emitted by the light emitter to the living organism. The effect of the measures according to the invention is that the light required for illuminating the living organism is generated by the light emitter of the docking station. As a result, no light emitters are necessary in the container according to the invention which reduces the cost of the container.

A transportable combination pet carrier and pet bed that can be dually used for travel or in the home. The case includes a pet bed that is located within the case, allowing for the pet to recline on the pet bed. The case may also include: 1) a sufficient amount of breathable and porous material, such that the pet does not suffocate when contained in the case, including when the case is fully closed and secured for transport; and 2) soft internal siding.

The present invention relates in general to the field of livestock trailers, and more specifically, to a livestock trailer that utilizes an enclosed elevator platform for loading and unloading animals. The elevator platform is located within an elevator shaft inside the frame of the livestock trailer. The elevator platform is configured to protect and confine the livestock as it traverses through the elevator shaft during loading and unloading operations. The livestock trailer may further comprise a ventilation system, a sprinkler system and/or a watering system to help assist in the well-being, health, and safety of the livestock while being transported. The purpose of the invention is to provide a livestock trailer and method of loading and unloading livestock onto the livestock trailer that minimizes risk of serious injury to both animal and handler during loading, unloading and transportation operations.

A pet carrier includes a bottom panel having a pair of end edges and a pair of side edges, a pair of side panels connected to the side edges of the bottom panel, a pair of end panels connected to the end edges of the bottom panel, and a top panel connected to the pair of side panels and the pair of end panels. An animal transport crate apparatus has an outer crate including rigid panels forming an outer boundary of an animal enclosure and an inner lining defining a flexible envelope arranged to receive the animal therein within the outer crate. Vehicle connecting tethers are arranged to extend through the outer crate for connection between the inner lining and frame anchors of the vehicle. The tethered inner lining allows the animal to be captured by the flexible envelope to minimize injury to the animal, and other occupants of the vehicle, regardless of the condition of the outer crate following a crash of the vehicle. The surrounding outer crate of rigid panels maintains ease of portability of the crate.
