A separating device for forming a standing area for livestock, in particular pigs, and for reducing emissions in pens, in particular in pig pens, comprises a base frame, a drainage element with a plurality of drainage channels which each comprise an outflow end, and shoulders, between which the plurality of drainage channels extends orthogonally to a drainage direction, a liquid-permeable endless belt with an upper run and a lower run, wherein the drainage element is arranged on the base frame such that a drainage direction of the plurality of drainage channels is directed in the direction of the outflow end.
MONITORING LIVESTOCK
An apparatus for raising livestock includes one or more confinement pens together with alleyways for transfer of the animals from one location to another. The apparatus includes one or more cameras for obtaining images of all animals in the containment area. A processor is provided for analyzing the images, the processor being arranged to allocate an arbitrary identification to each animal and to track all animals continually to maintain the allocation. From this tracking various data related to individual animals or the animals as a group can be obtained to assess their characteristics and to provide an indication to the worker of the animal to be extracted. The processor can be arranged to detect by image analysis of the image a quantity of feed and/or water in a feeder and to obtain images of the farrowing pen including the sow confinement area and at least one piglet confinement area.
Apparatus and method for transporting an animal
An apparatus for transporting an animal is provided. The apparatus includes a body having a plurality of panels that are operative to transition between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the panels define a cavity that is configured to contain an animal. In the open position, the panels define a bed mat.

A system for carrying animals on a vehicle including an animal carrying compartment wherein a front end includes a portal through which an animal may pass, and wherein the animal carrying compartment includes an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the upper portion is selectively configurable in one of a partially open configuration and an fully open configuration. A method for transporting an animal on a motorcycle, the method comprising installing a mounting hardware on a docking hardware of a motorcycle, the mounting hardware configured to engage an animal carrying device, securing the animal carrying device to the mounting hardware, configuring an upper portion of the animal carrying device for transporting an animal, placing an animal in the animal carrying device, securing a door of the animal carrying device, and travelling from a first location to a second location.
Animal crate with swing or drop door assembly
A door assembly includes a frame having interconnected wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and a door having interconnected wires and being coupled to the frame. A latch assembly has a handle structure and a pin. The handle structure is pivotable with respect to one of the door and the frame, and the pin is movable axially with respect to one of the door and the frame. A first wire of the plurality of wires of the frame forms a key hole assembly. The key hole assembly defines an aperture for receiving the pin when the door is in a latched position with respect to the frame. A tab assembly is formed by at least one wire of the door and is disposable behind at least one of the plurality of wires of the frame in the closed position.
FOLDABLE PET CAGE
Disclosed is a foldable pet cage, including a frame operable in unfolded and folded states. The frame includes at least two supporting rod assemblies, the supporting rod assemblies are each formed by movably connecting a vertical rod, an upper connecting rod and a lower connecting rod. All the upper connecting rods are rotatably connected with an upper connecting seat, and a first locking structure is arranged between the upper connecting seat and the upper connecting rod. All the lower connecting rods are rotatably connected with a lower connecting seat, and a second locking structure is arranged between the lower connecting seat and the lower connecting rod.
COLLAPSIBLE ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
A collapsible enclosure system is provided having end walls and hingedly coupled side walls whereby the end walls and side walls are configured to couple and define an enclosure area to retain a living creature. In some embodiments, the side walls define a top wall, a bottom wall, a back wall, a front wall and the end walls define left and right end walls. In some embodiments, the side walls comprise a side panel frame and a side panel and the end walls comprise an end panel frame and an end panel whereby edge joining elements and corner joining elements on the panel frames are configured to mate and couple the side panel frames with the end panel frames to define the enclosure area. In some embodiments, an extension frame is provided whereby the enclosure area may be extended with another set of side walls.
COVER FOR ANIMAL CONTAINMENT ASSEMBLY
Described herein is a covering system for an animal containment system. Specifically, described herein is an opaque panel bearing an attachment system and a removal system for deployment and removal from an animal crate. Further described herein is a plurality of panels providing a covering system to completely cover an animal crate to allow the animal to sleep, to quiet the animal, or to provide a sense of security to the animal.
SECURE STACKABLE CAGE FOR TRANSPORTING SMALL ANIMALS
An animal shipping cage is provided that can be a single size or in two or more different sizes. The cages are stackable, one on top of the other which has a number of benefits when shipping small animals. A cage of a single size is configured to have one cage stacked on top of another. Cages of two different sizes are configured to be stacked on top of each other in the same stack. Having a combination of cages, a small cage and a large cage, which can be stacked on top of each other in a secure fashion provides significant benefits when shipping a large number of different types of small animals. In one embodiment, a secure lock is provided that ensures the lid to the cage can only be opened by an intentional action of high force and confirmation obtained that it was not opened during shipment.
Free Access Sow Gestation Stall Gate Assembly
A gestation stall gate assembly includes a gate support, a gate pivotably coupled to the gate support, and a gate control assembly. The gate is pivotable between an inwardly open position, a closed position, and an outwardly open position. The gate control assembly is configured to (i) allow the gate to pivot from the closed position to the inwardly open position when a sow pushes against the gate to pivot the gate toward the inwardly open position, (ii) prevent the gate from pivoting from the closed position to the inwardly open position for a second time until the gate is pivoted from the closed position to the outwardly open position, and (iii) allow the gate to pivot from the closed position to the outwardly open position when the sow pushes against the gate to pivot the gate toward the outwardly open position.
