Conveyor system

A conveyor system conveys devices for receiving components to be welded together, especially for internal combustion engine exhaust systems, into and out of a welding cell. The conveyor system includes a conveying vehicle (62) with a chassis (64) that can travel on a subfloor via rollers (68). A superstructure (78) is carried vertically adjustably on the chassis (64). At least one device carrier (14) receives components to be welded together in a position intended for the welding together in relation to one another. A positioning/holding formation (94) is provided on the superstructure (78) and a counter-positioning/holding formation (103) that meshes or can be caused mesh with the positioning/holding formation (94) is provided on the device carrier (14) for presetting a conveying position of the device carrier (14) on the superstructure (78).

The apertures are aligned along a common horizontal plane and the support arms have different heights that allow tools to be hung therefrom in a nesting relationship so that more tools can occupy less space or area relative to the support surface. The nesting relationship of the tools provides for a first tool supported by the first arm to fit within a space defined by the second tool supported by the second arm. In some instance, the first and second arms may be part of a pair of support arms, respectively.

A welding window device includes an elongated body that defines a welding cavity that extends through the body from a top side to a bottom side. The welding cavity is framed by an inlet end, an outlet end, and lateral sides of the body. The body includes one or more gas channels inwardly extending through one or more of the first lateral side or the second lateral side from an inlet opening in the inlet end toward the outlet end of the body. The gas channels include nozzle openings inwardly oriented toward the welding cavity. The gas channels are positioned in the body to direct a gas into the welding cavity during welding of other bodies together within the welding cavity.

The clamping jaws are each constructed as clamping levers which are pivotable in the pressing plane about a lever pivot axis. The contact surface intended for application to the rail web is disposed at a first lever end spaced apart from the lever pivot axis. The two contact surfaces of each rail clamping assembly are each positioned closer to the oppositely disposed rail clamping assembly than the two lever pivot axes.
