ADJUSTABLE PIPE ROLL AND SUPPORT MECHANISM
20180141169 · 2018-05-24 ·

An adjustable roll and support mechanism for elongate objects having a round cross-sectional configuration has a support base having a pair of parallel upright tubular members having rigid or collapsible support legs. Elevation posts are positioned in movable telescoping relation within respective tubular members and support a roll positioning head having an internal roll positioning mechanism. A pair of roll assemblies are movably supported on the roll positioning head. Lock rings are positionable at a locking position to restrain downward movement of the elevation posts relative to the tubular members and are positionable at a release position permitting downward movement of the elevation posts. Lock ring stops are mounted to a transverse structural member and are positioned to prevent the lock rings from becoming bound after being struck by a lock release mechanism.

Adjustable roller carrier

Disclosed is an adjustable roller carrier, comprising a roller carrier base (1), rollers (2) and a motor speed reducing driver, wherein both ends of the roller carrier base are each articulated with a roller bearing (3) and a roller carrier hydraulic jack (5), with the roller carrier hydraulic jack (5) being articulated with the roller bearing (3) and the roller (2) being mounted on the roller bearing. The roller carrier hydraulic jack and a hydraulic pump station thereof, and an electromagnetic valve are all placed inside a hollow roller carrier support so that not only the height and the center-to-center distance of the rollers are adjustable, but also the adjustable roller carrier has the advantages of being integrally compact in structure, and small in terms of occupied space. The adjustable roller carrier enables the steel pipe to rotate in a narrow space, can be fast lifted, and transported by railway. The adjustable roller carrier is convenient to operate and has high safety.

LASER-BEAM WORKING MACHINE AND LASER-BEAM MACHINING METHOD

A laser-beam working machine includes a laser head rotatable around a main axis and movable along the main axis, a first chuck configured to irradiate a laser beam to the workpiece, and a second chuck provided between the laser head and the first chuck along the main axis to be rotatable around the main axis. The first chuck includes a grip configured to hold a workpiece rotatably around the main axis. The second chuck includes a plurality of guide rollers provided around the main axis to form an opening between the plurality of guide rollers through which the workpiece is configured to pass through. The plurality of guide rollers is configured to move toward and away from the main axis to change a size of the opening so that the plurality of guide rollers guides the workpiece along the main axis and the grip passes through the opening.

SUPPORT DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A TUBE ON A TUBE WORKING MACHINE AND TUBE WORKING MACHINE COMPRISING SUCH A SUPPORT DEVICE

The support device comprises: a pivoting arm arranged to be rotatably supported at a first end thereof by a base of the machine for rotation about a first axis of rotation oriented transversely to a longitudinal axis of the tube; a cylindrical roller mounted at a second end of the pivoting arm opposite to the first end with its axis oriented parallel to the first axis of rotation; a variable-profile support member rotatably mounted at the second end of the pivoting arm for rotation about a second axis of rotation parallel to the first axis of rotation; a first driving system arranged to control the angular position of the pivoting arm about the first axis of rotation; and a second driving system arranged to control the angular position of the support member about the second axis of rotation.

BOX COLUMN ASSEMBLY
20180065213 · 2018-03-08 · ·

Apparatus for assisting in weld assembling a box column from a tack-welded pre-assembly of planar plate components. The apparatus features (1) an elongate frame defining a rotational-assembly axis, and (2) plural pre-assembly-receiving, rotational support structures mounted at spaced locations on the frameeach support structure including (a) an openable/closable yoke possessing a collar-reception zone, (b) an openable/closable collar rotatably receivable within this reception zone, and possessing a central throughpassage having a cross-sectional configuration which is larger than that of a box-column which is to be assembled, and (c) a pair of removably-collar-attachable, throughpassage clamping shoes for forming cooperatively, within the collar throughpassage, a window for complementarily, receiving extension therethrough of a box-column pre-assembly's cross section. A so received pre-assembly is rotatable about the rotational-assembly axis to position the existing seams of adjacency between the pre-assembly plate components for full-strength welding by an automated, traveling welding instrumentality.

Turning device for pipes and pipe elements

Provided is a turning device for turning pipes with a large diameter about their longitudinal axis. The turning device includes a base body and two supporting devices that are arranged on the base body. Each supporting device includes a pedestal and at least one rocker element that is pivotably mounted in a receptacle of the pedestal. The pedestal is connected to the base body. The rocker elements each include one or more rollers. The turning device adapts to different pipe diameters as a result of the rocker elements, so that no exchanging of the turning device is necessary and multiple turning devices do not need to be kept on hand for different pipe diameters.

FLANGE FITTING FOR TUBULAR STRUCTURES

Devices, systems, and methods are directed to automated techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections used to form tubular structures, such as large-scale structures used in industrial applications (e.g., wind towers and pipelines). As compared to manual techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections, the devices, systems, and methods of the present disclosure facilitate faster attachment of flanges, which may be useful for achieving cost-effective throughput. By way of further comparison to manual techniques, the devices, systems, and methods of the present disclosure may, further or instead, facilitate achieving tighter dimensional tolerances. In turn, such tighter dimensional tolerances may be useful for forming thinner-walled, lighter, and lower cost tubular structures. Still further or in the alternative, automated techniques for fitting flanges to tubular sections may facilitate attachment of multipiece flanges or other non-traditional flange geometries.
